INTRODUCTION Morph allows user to

transform the shape of mobile according to their preferences.

Nokia morph is having the nanosensors that will give key information for any thing from temperature changes to pollution.

HISTROY

The NOKIA MORPH has been introduced to the global world at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City.

The concept emerged through collaboration

between Nokia Research Center & Cambridge University Nanoscience center.

NANOTECHNOLOGY Nanotechnology is the measurement or visualization

at the scale of 1-100 nanometers.

It provides materials having fibril proteins which are in three dimension , hence this mobile getting 3D look.

WHY NANOTECHNOLOGY?

SELF CLEANINGNanostructured surface known as Nanoflowers that naturally repelwater, dirt and even finger-prints.

A water droplet beads up on a lotus leaf due to the hydrophobicnanostructures & this principle is known as Superhydrophobicity.

ADVANCED POWER SOURCESNanograss is used for harvesting solar power.

Nokia developed a full solid state flexible Dyesensitized solar cell (DSSC) using ZnONanostructures that act as photovoltaics which harvests solar energy.

TRANSPERANT ELECTRONICS The whole electronic circuit inside NOKIA morph is

entirely transparent. Nanoscale electronics becomes invisible to the human

eye.

Technology . By integrating TRRAM device with other transparent

electronic components, we achieved feature of Transperancy in Nokia Morph.

WEARABLE DEVICE

Can be used as a watch or a band.

LIMITATIONS

The initial manufacturing cost is very high. The expected market price is around $1.9 million. Stretchable batteries have not yet being discovered.

Page 13: Nokia Morph

FUTURE SCOPE The shapes could be made much more simpler

like in ring shape. Nokia Morph in open mode could act as a

keyboard for pc’s.

CONCLUSION

NOKIA MORPH LOGO

Nokia morph a new kind of mobile is made only possible due to Nanotechnology and Nokia research center, as their logo says “Thinking, Understanding & creating mobile innovations for cultures all over the world”

By taking such striking features into consideration the company believes that definitely it will be a distinctive phone by 2015.
