Information Advise

AIRJACK REINFORCEMENT: After checking rear air jacks supports, some of them

were damaged with little cracks. SEAT Sport offers to the costumers an airjack

reinforcement ref: V4PL011113 to prevent this.

Next we explain the assembly and welding position for this support:

IMPORTANT:To weld any part of the car is strongly recommended to disconnect

all the electronic elements of the car, (Engine ECU, gate way, inmovilizator, ABS-

CAN, Gear box DSG connector, shifting module, flowmetter), and different parts

that you consider necessary, (suspension, fuel tank, seat, ,,,,).

MONTAJE TAPA METLICA AFORADOR: El procedimiento para el correctomontaje de la tapa metlica del aforador es el siguiente:

1. Desmontar la tapa aforador de

plstico de ambos lados deldeposito de combustible.

Assemble the special nut like isshowed on the picture.

3. Montar la nueva tapa metlicautilizando los dos tornillossuministrados en el kit.

Use the kit bolts to assemble thenew metallic cover.

Information Advice

Fijacin de baquet para copiloto

En el caso de que un vehculo por los motivos que fuere instale un segundo baquet en

el lugar del copiloto, cuando ste participe en el campeonato Supercopa SEAT Len

debe cumplir con los requisitos abajo indicados.

Con el motivo de no reforzar ni modificar la estructura del vehculo, el soporte del

baquet para copiloto debe ser desmontable, no debiendo estar montado cuando participeen los eventos Supercopa. La fijacin de dichos soportes debe cumplir con la normativa

siguiente:

Fijacin: El anclaje de ste deber efectuarse segn el Anexo J Art. 253

16._Fijacin de los asiento, de forma que durante los eventos Supercopa

SEAT Len slo puede quedar en la carrocera los refuerzos de los pies de

anclaje (de almenos 3mm de espesor y40 cm2 )donde van ancladas las barras de

soporte de las guas de baquet tal y como se muestra en los dibujos del Anexo

J Dib 253-50 al 253-56. Verificacin: El Comisario Tcnico de la Prueba comprobar que los trabajos

han sido realizados correctamente valorando tambin la pulcritud y presentacin

de los mismos.

Passenger backet fixation

If for any reason a second backet needs to be installed in the passenger side place, and

this car participates in the Supercopa SEAT Leon championship, must fulfil the

following requirements.

In order not to reinforce or modify the vehicle structure, the passengers backet

support must be removable, and it must be dismounted when participating in the

Supercopa events. The supports fixation must fulfil the following rule:

Fixation: The fixation must fulfil the Annexed J Art. 253 -16. _Seats

attachments and supports. In that sense, during the Supercopa SEAT Leon events

are only permitted the fixation reinforcements (3mm thickness and 120 cm2)where

the guides of baquet support bars are fixed as shown in theAnnexed J

drawings 253-50 to the 253-56.

Scrutieneering: The technical Marshal will verify the works have been made

correctly also valuing neatness and presentation

Coils Wiring loom modification.

1. Disconnect the battery.

2. Disconnect the coils wiring loom of the 2 staples that support of previous coils wiring loom,marked with A in figure 1.

3. Disconnect the ground wire (brown) placed under the metallic support and remove the

metallic support, shown in fig 2 (marked with B in fig 1)

4. Connect the ground wire (brown) in the same place where the support was screwed, using thenew screw.

3. Disconnect camshaft C position sensor (Figure 3) and pass the wiring loom through the

upper part of the butt cover, placing a plastic clamp in the lateral aluminium cover (black)

and return to connect camshaft C position sensor. In figure 3,line of points shows the newlayout.

Las piezas a rriba descritas se monta n en el SEAT Len Supercopa Mk2 sin apena smodifica ciones. Sigan los pas os q ue a continuacin les describimos.

1. Desmonta r el pa rachoq ues, splitter y vaciar de a ceite hidrulico el circuito del radiador.2. Desmontar el rad iador de a ceite, e l serpentn a ctual, los s oportes del rad iador y el tubode entrada y el de salida del radiador. No es necesario desmontar el frontend ni el intercoolerpara es te retrab ajo, pero si se desea hacerlo de forma ms cmoda, desmonte el frontend delcoche.Piezas a desmontar: piezas 23 a 27cata logo 2008, Pg. 62 (ver foto 1)

The par ts above described shou ld be disassembled from the SEAT Leon Supecopa MK2 almost

without modi fications. See below the steps to be followed:

1.

Disassemble the front bumper, the splitter and empty the hydraulic oil from the circuit

and the radiator.

2.

Disassemble the oil radiator , the radiator supports and the inlet and outlet pipe. It is not

necessary to disassemble the complete fronted either the in tercooler. Anyway, for doing this

updating more comfortable for you, it is better to disassembly it.

4. Colocar y fijar el radiador nuevo de servo-direccin (foto 6). A continuacin ya se puedecolocar y fijar los tubos de entrada y salida del radiador, colocndolos en la misma posicinque tena n en el frontend a nterior. (foto 7)

5. Desmontar y montar la nueva polea de la bomba de servo-direccin siguiendo los pasoshabituales. El apriete de los tornillos de la polea se realiza a mano aadiendo fijador detornillos del tipo medio (Locktite 242).Nota: Se recomienda hacer una revisin ocular a la correa y sustituir en caso de pequeaspiedra s a dheridas en el interior del poli V o grieta s externas.

Disassemble and fix the new pulley of the steering pump following the usual steps. The

torque of the bolts from the pulley can be done by hand add ing g lue (Locktite 242).

Note: We recommend making a belt visual revision and substituti ng i t in case of small stones

adhered on the pul ley or external fissures.

6. Aadir a ceite hidrulico has ta el nivel mximo del indicador de la botella de expans in.Poner el motor en marcha durante cinco segundos y volver a pa ra rlo (durante es ta operacin nodeb e g ira rse el volante). Reha cer nivel y repetir el arranque y pa ro en 5 segundos . Add hydrauli c oil till the maximum expansion bottle level ind icator. Start the engine for 5

seconds and turn off again (the steering wheel should be blocked during this action). Refill oil

level and repeat the starting and stop of 5 seconds. Refill oil level and start definit ively,

controlling the oil level between the minimum and maximum of the oil dipstick when the

temperature of the water is at 85 C.

Con motivo de asegurar el blocaje de las tuercas de fijacin de la rtula del trapecio

anterior y regulador de cada, se ha aadido 3 arandelas de freno.

Referencia arandela de freno: VN0002150700 (x3)Posicin y apriete:

Recordar que: Las tuercas tipo aviacin con blocaje por presin y las arandelas de

presin son de un solo uso. Se recomienda realizar los trabajos de ajuste de reglaje en el

taller/box con tuercas normales y sustituir estas por las de tipo aviacin + arandelas

de presin nuevas al finalizar.

been introduced.

Remember: The aviation nuts and pressed washer only have one time use. Its

advisable to perform the workshop/box setup with standards nuts and to replace it for

aviation plus pressed washer new ones after.

Consola fusibles central baja 2008

Con motivo de mejorar el rendimiento de esta pieza, se ha renovado completamente,

mejorando el circuito impreso, el conexionado interno, el esquema de fusibles y se ha

introducido un sistema de luces testigo para el rpido anlisis de estado.

Para adaptar esta pieza a un Len Supercopa Mk2 2006/07 se debe sustituir la consola

fusibles antigua por la nueva, el cable de batera a arranque, el cable de positivo batera

a consola (ahora de batera a conector rpido) y la tapa con su esquema.

In order to improve the performance of this part, we have developed the new electrical

base, wiring connexion, fuses scheme and fuses indicator led for a faster analysis.

To adapt this part to the Leon Supercup MK2 2006/07 you must substitute the Central

fuses console, the start console wiring loom and the battery cover plus its fuses scheme.

Conjunto filtro de aire 2008

Montado ya en los coches 2008 o con kit 2008, se ha renovado completamente,

mejorando el filtraje y posibilitando una mejor limpieza y mantenimiento.

Este cambio respecto al conjunto filtro anterior, no aporta un cambio o mejora en elrendimiento del motor, por lo que puede ser instalado directamente en los coches 2006 y

2007 como una pieza de sustitucin.

La disponibilidad del filtro antiguo solo ser posible hasta fin de stock.

Para adaptar esta pieza a un Len Supercopa Mk2 2006/07, (No necesaria en los coches

Already mounted on the 2008 cars or previous with 2008 kit, has been completerenovated, improving the performance of this part in cleaning and maintenance.

This change doesnt provide any performance at the engine so it can be installed directly

to the 2006/07 cars like a substitution part.

The old filter part only will be available until end of stock.

To adapt this part to the 2006/07 cars, (No necessary in the 2008 cars or previous with

Tras las mejoras realizadas en las pinzas de freno para el 2008 en adelante, los kits de

reparacin a utilizar quedan de la siguiente forma:

Coches fabricados hasta noviembre/diciembre 2007 utilizan las pinzas refs: CP7061-

Coches fabricados desde enero 2008 utilizan las pinzas refs: CP7081-4S0LRD:SEA y

Las diferencias entre las pinzas CP7061 Y CP7081 es el diseo del canal de la junta de

goma, a la que se le ha aplicado un ngulo para evitar el knock-off de los pistones y el

mejor cierre tanto en baja presin y temperatura como en alta. La utilizacin de estas

juntas Racing permiten un mayor margen de seguridad en las perdidas de lquido en

fro.

En todos los casos las pinzas estn marcadas a lser en el cuerpo del mismo por lo quees fcil comprobar el tipo de juntas que debe utilizarse.

After the improvements done from 2008 front callipers, the set of calliper gaskets to use

will be in the following form:

Cars build until October / December 2007 used the front callipers refs: CP7061-

Set of calliper gaskets to fit: Ref AP: CP4519-CEJ: SEA

Cars build from January 2008 used the front calliper refs: CP7081-4S0LRD:SEA yCP7081-5S0LRD:SEA

Set of calliper gaskets to fit: Ref. AP: CP4518-CEJRef. SEAT Sport: V2ML698471A

The differences between this two front callipers CP7061 Y CP7081 is the design of the

gasket canal. They have been implemented an angle to avoid Knok-off on the pistons

and the best closure in high pressure and temperature as in low. The utilization of these

Racing gaskets allows having a greater safety margin in the leakage in cold conditions.

In all the cases the front brake calliper are the laser marked on the body calliper and is

easy to check the gaskets type to be used.

Copa SEAT Len 2007. Esta modificacin de pieza ser de aplicacin en las piezas derecambios de forma inmediata.

La nueva referencia de la pieza a solicitar es V4PL825257CFondo plano central.

A continuacin les mostramos un croquis del recorte a realizar para la correcta

transformacin de la pieza, mejorando as la refrigeracin en el vano motor. La manta

trmica suministrada de origen en la zona de la NACA debe seguir en la misma

Central flat bottom

We enclosed complement of the User Manual and the Part Catalogue of SEAT

Leon 2007 Cup. This part modification will be applied in the spare parts production

immediately.

The new part reference is V4PL825257C Central flat bottom.

Following is showed a picture with the area to be cut off, improving the

refrigeration in the engine cockpit area. The thermo protection added on the originalpart in this area must be keep in place.

Air intake driver refrigeration

We enclosed complement of the User Manual and the Part Catalogue of SEAT

Leon 2007 Cup. This complement will be applied from the Pau race and for the rest

of the season.

The reference of the complete part to ask for its V4PL817833. With it you will

receive a pattern for the correct positioning in the cars roof. Find bellow the image

available in the update of the User Manual and Parts Catalogue.

Verificacin del mazo bomba de caudal adicional.

Este mazo a verificar se encuentra dentro del depsito de gasolina, en el lado piloto y

conectado a la bomba auxiliar que all se encuentra.

El cable de color marrn (positivo 12v) debe estar montado en el emplazamiento n 1

del conector y el amarillo en el n 2 . Dando contacto se puede comprobar que el cable

marrn es positivo 12v antes de cerrar el deposito. (recordar que es una seal modulada yque vuelve a 0 en cuanto se alcance la presin de gasolina asignada).

Additional wiring loom check.

This wiring loom its placed inside of the fuel cell, driver side and connected to the

additional fuel pump.

The brown cable (positive 12v) must be connect at the n 1 plastic connector place and

the yellow at the n 2 place. It is possible to check if the brown cable have 12 volts

when the contact switch is on before to close the fuel cell. (remember that the 12v signalis modulated by the ECU and will be 0 when the fuel pressure is done.)

Proteccin Escape

Con la informacin obtenida durante los primeros test colectivos del nuevo

SEAT Len Supercopa Mk2, y para evitar posibles incendios de goma deneumtico acumulada entre el tubo de escape y el fondo plano, se permiteenvolver el tubo de escape con venda trmica.

Las zonas mas recomendables de proteger son:

En los vehculos equipados con fondo plano es mas difcil observar unaposible perdida de aceite o goma de neumtico acumulada, por lo que serecomienda desmontar el fondo plano con cierta frecuencia.

Modificacin recorrido mazo cables bobinas.

1. Desconectar la batera.

2. Desgrapar el mazo de cables de bobinas de las 2 grapas de soporte del mazo anteriores a las

bobinas. Marcado con A en la figura 1.

3. Desconectar el cable de masa colocado sobre el soporte y eliminar el soporte metlico.Marcado con B en la fig 1, y figura 2

4. Desconectar el sensor de posicin de rbol de levas C (Figura 3) y pasar el mazo de cablespor la parte superior de la tapa de culata, colocando una brida de plstico en la tapa de

aluminio lateral (negra) y volviendo a conectar el sensor de posicin de rbol de levas. En la

figura 3, se observa en lnea de puntos, el nuevo trazado.

LIMPEZA DEL INTERCAMBIADOR Y DEL RADIADOR:

Se recomienda a todos los equipos, que desmonten, enderecen laminillas ylimpien ambos despus de cada evento o despus de cada carrera o entreno

en el que hayan sufrido una salida de pista, para asegurar la refrigeracin y

prestaciones mximas del motor, ya que este se protege de los

sobrecalentamientos, tanto de aire de admisin como de lquido

refrigerante, disminuyendo su potencia.

INTERCOOLER AND RADIATOR CLEANING:

It is recommended to all the teams, that disassembles and clean both after

each event after each race or practice session in which they have exit the

track, to assure the refrigeration and maximum performance of the engine,since it auto protects from intake air and cooling liquid overheating by

diminishing his power.

PROTECION TRMICA PINZA FRENO ANTERIOR

SEATSport recomienda utilizar una proteccin trmica pa ra evita r parte de

la transferencia de temperatura disipada de la pastilla de freno al lquido de la

pinza de l SEATSupercopa Len.

Esta placa trmica consigue disminuir la temperatura del lquido de freno en

pinza a lrededor de 60C.

Se aconseja su uso en los circuitos con trazados especialmente duros para

los frenos. La referencia q ue es posible montar es la s iguiente.

SEAT Sport recommends to use a thermal protect ion pla te to a void the

PROCEDIMIENTO COMPROBACION PRECARGA DIFERENCIAL AUTOBLOCANTE

A continuacin informamos del procedimiento pa ra la comproba cin de los valoresde precarga del diferencia l autob locante de l cambio de velocidades DSG del LenSupercopa Mk2.

1) Las comproba ciones pueden ha cerse ta nto en fro como en ca liente.2) Coloca r el vehiculo sobre a irjacks y colocar sus seguros.3) Asegurarse q ue el motor ha sido parado por el procedimiento correcto, de lo

contrario podra fa lsea rse el valor. El procedimiento, por orden, es elsiguiente

a .

Motor en marcha (so lo un momento pa ra a segurar Neutral).b. El displa y del mod ulo de volante indica N (neutral)c. Interruptor de conta cto off.d. Interruptor de ba tera off..

4) Fija r una d e las ruedas delanteras , (se puede ha cer a mano), coloca r unallave dinamomtrica de aguja en el tornillo del pa lier (centro de rueda ) de larueda contraria y gira r en sentido hora rio fijndose en el par de a rra stre. Losvalores deb en esta r seg n la siguiente ta bla:

Es aconsejable revisa r el autobloca nte cuanto la precarga disminuye de 20Nm en fro y 10 Nm en ca liente.

SLIP DIFERENTIAL CHECKING PROCEDURE

See bellow the SEATLeon MK2 DSG g ea r box s lip differentia l PRELOAD procedure.

1) Checks ca n be done in cold or in wa rm conditions.2) Up the ca r with the a ir-ja cks and fix it.3) Take care tha t the ca r engine was s topped through the correct procedure, if

not the rea d va lue could not be true. The procedure order is a s following.a . Sta rt the engine to as sure tha t the shift module indicates N

neutral.

b.

Put the shif module in N neutra l.c. Switch off the contact switch.d. Switch off the main sw itch.

4) To fix one of the front wheels (you can do it by ha nd), put a needledyna mometric tool on the drive sha ft bolt (wheel center) and turn the too l inclock wise sense to mea sure the value. The value must be a s following:

When the slip differentia ls a re repaired on the workshop the preload va lueapplied is between 50 and 60 Nm (differentia l disass embled from the gea rbox). The preload value tha t you ca n rea d on the wheel centre increa se (max80 Nm) beca use the other parts a re frictioning.

It is advisa ble to check the s lip differential when the preloa d decrea se lesstha n 20 Nm in cold a nd 10 Nm in warm conditions.

Cableados deps ito de combust ible

Debido a la diversidad de ga solinas con caractersticas distintas a la Standa rd 98

sin plomo utilizada s en el Len Supercopa en los distintos pases donde el Len

Supercopa MK2 participa, s e han da do ca sos de endurecimiento y retraccin del

recubrimiento aislante del cable elctrico que se encuentra en el interior del

depsito de ga solina.

Recomendamos comproba r el esta do de los cablead os d el interior del deps ito de

combustible. Si el a specto corresponde a l de la foto 1, no es necesa rio sustituirlo,

por el contra rio, si el as pecto es e l de la foto 2, s e deb er sustituir.

Technical Information NoteFuel ta nk wiring loom

Due to the variety and different characteristics of petrol Standard 98 lead free

used in the different Supecopa Len championships over the countries where the

Supercopa Len MK2 is pa rticipating, we ha ve observed tha t in some ca ses exists a

process where the wire is getting harder and there is a retraction of the electrical

cab le situated inside of the petrol tank.

We recommend to check the ca bles inside the petrol tank. If the a ppea rance is like

the Picture 1, it is not necessary to change it, but if looks like Picture 2 it must be

replaced.

Option A: Replace cable by yourself.

1.

Ask for the two ca bles , for free to a ll the customers, from the picture 4 toSEATSport with the following references :

2. Disassemble the main petrol pump from the tank and substitute the

auxiliary pump wiring loom unwelding and welding it again with the new

wiring loom. The process will be blue colour from the new wiring in the left

side (A in Picture 5) and white on the right s ide (B in the Picture 5).

- Drain the fuel tank complete.- Plug in the lap top to the car Onli ne trough the Race Studio. Click on the mV

but ton to see the value in mV.- Fil l up 5 l itres in the tank and check the return value in mV that appears over

the Fuel level channel. Fil l up the tank 5 l it res more, check the value andwrite it each 5 l itters. Follow th is process until the fuel cell is full (until 65litres).

NOTA TCNICA

PROCEDIMIENTO COMPROBACION PRECARGA DIFERENCIALAUTOBLOCANTE

A continuacin informamos del procedimiento para la comprobacin de los valores deprecarga del diferencial autoblocante del cambio de velocidades DSG del LenSupercopa Mk2.

1) Las comprobaciones pueden hacerse tanto en fro como en caliente.2) Colocar el vehiculo sobre airjacks y colocar sus seguros.3) Asegurarse que el motor ha sido parado por el procedimiento correcto, de lo

contrario podra falsearse el valor. El procedimiento, por orden, es el siguientea. Motor en marcha (solo un momento para asegurar Neutral).

b. El display del modulo de volante indica N (neutral)c. Interruptor de contacto off.d. Interruptor de batera off..

4) Fijar una de las ruedas delanteras, (se puede hacer a mano), colocar una llavedinamomtrica de aguja en el tornillo del palier (centro de rueda) de la ruedacontraria y girar en sentido horario fijndose en el par de arrastre. Los valoresdeben estar segn la siguiente tabla:

* Tambin se considera nuevo cuando se ha revisado y todava no ha rodado.

INFORMACION ADICIONAL: En el montaje de taller el diferencial autoblocante se tara entre 50 y 70 Nm de

precarga. El aumento de precarga medido en la rueda es debido a las precargas delos 4 ejes de este tipo de cambios. Es aconsejable revisar el autoblocante cuanto la precarga disminuye de 20 Nm en

fro y 10 Nm en caliente.

TECHNICAL NOTE

SLIP DIFERENTIAL CHECKING PROCEDURE

See bellow the SEAT Leon MK2 DSG gear box slip differential PRELOAD procedure.

1) Checks can be done in cold or in warm conditions.2) Up the car with the air-jacks and fix it.3) Take care that the car engine was stopped through the correct procedure, if not

the read value could not be true. The procedure order is as following.a. Start the engine to assure that the shift module indicates N neutral.

b. Put the shif module in N neutral.

c.

Switch off the contact switch.d. Switch off the main switch.

4) To fix one of the front wheels (you can do it by hand), put a needledynamometric tool on the drive shaft bolt (wheel center) and turn the tool inclock wise sense to measure the value. The value must be as following:

SLIP DIFFERENTIAL PRELOAD

Cold 120 15% NmNEW / Rebuilded*

Hot 100 15% NmCold 90 15% Nm

Used

Hot 40 15% Nm

* Revised is considered as new if it has never been used.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: When the slip differentials are repaired on the workshop the preload value applied

is between 50 and 70 Nm (differential disassembled from the gear box). Thepreload value that you can read on the wheel centre increase because these kind ofgear boxes have 4 axles and this means bigger friction.

It is advisable to check the slip differential when the preload decrease less than 20

Nm in cold and 10 Nm in warm conditions.

NOTA TCNICA

INTERRUPTOR PRINCIPAL EXTERIOR.

Por la situacin del interruptor situado en el exterior del coche, expuesto a humedades yvibraciones, etc., SEAT Sport recomienda revisar el estado del interruptor de corte

principal de corriente exterior.

Sustituir el interruptor (ref: VN0008127200) en los siguientes casos:a) Si cualquiera de los terminales elctricos no estn solidamente fijados a la base.

b) Si el movimiento de la palanca del interruptor no es preciso.c) Si la base de los terminales ofrecen un mal aspecto o un cambio de color. (ver

foto abajo)

FUSIBLE ECU MOTOR:SEAT Sport recomienda sustituirlos dos fusibles de la ECU motor,situados en la consola de fusibles,

por otros nuevos de 15 Amp. Ver

la posicin en el esquema defusibles adjunto.

TECHNICAL NOTE

EXTERNAL MAIN SWITCH

The external main switch is placed in the external side of the car, for this reason isexposed at humidity, vibrations, etc, SEAT Sport recommend to check it periodically.

We recommend to substitute the external main switch (ref: VN0008127200) in thefollowing cases:

a) If any of the pins is not strongly fixed to the base.

b)

If the switch lever is not precise.c) If the pins base dont offer a good aspect or colour (as the picture bellow).

RECORTE FRONTEND

Con el fin de evitar en que, caso de impacto se produzcan un pequeo agujero en elmanguito de agua del radiador secundario se recomienda cortar una parte del frontendque sujeta el faro izquierdo. A continuacin mostramos unos dibujos con el recorterecomendado.

CUTTING FRONTEND AREA:

With the purpose to avoid any little hole on the secondary cooling system, its allowedto cut a part of the plastic front-end who support the left headlight. Following we shownsome pictures where is indicated the area to be cutted.

TORNILLO MANOTA DEIRECCION LEON SUPERCOPA

STEERING HANDLE BOLT

A continuacin informamos de la actualizacin realizada en el Catalogo de piezas del

Len Supercopa Mk2 2010.

A partir del 1 de Octubre del 2010, los tornillos utilizados en todas las operaciones de

cambio de manota de direccin, tanto en manguetas ya usadas, as como en manguetas

de recambios del Len Supercopa MK2, deben ser montadas con el nuevo tornillo

M8x45 DIN 912., sustituyendo as el anterior tornillo M8x50 DIN 912, 5mm mas largo.

Following we inform about the update done in the Leon Supercopa MK2 2010 parts

catalogue.

From 1st of October 2010, the bolts to fix the steering handle in the used upright as

well as in the new spare parts, must be fixed with the new bolt M8x45 DIN 912,

substituting the previous one M8x50 DIN 912, 5mm longer.
