Con la progressione della malattia, l’aumentata frequenza degli eventi acuti porta a percentuali elevate di ospedalizzazioni e a rischio aumentato di mortalità
Ad ogni evento acuto, il danno miocardico può contribuire a disfunzione VS progressiva
Nella pratica clinica la prognosi per i pazienti con insufficienza cardiaca è negativa
