112 EMERGENCY
NUMBER
MTb Gravity, Downhill, Freeride, and Enduro are potentially high-risk and dangerous sporting practices. For this reason, they are reserved for highly trained and adequately equipped experts. It is therefore obligatory to adhere rigorously to the regulations of the Bike Park, and be scrupulous in showing the due respect in order to safeguard yourselves and others.
The Rules and Regulations of the Bike Park are displayed both on the notice boards in the close vicinity of the trails and on the website: www.pontedilegnotonalebike.com
1. The Bike Park is made up of one or more circuits to be used for the purpose of riding ONLY in descent and in the saddle of the correct means i.e. Downhill, Freeride or Enduro Mountain bike. The bicycle used should possess all the technical characteristics necessary with regard to safety; the bike should always be in a perfect state of maintenance. The difficulty rating of each circuit is indi-cated at the start. The three difficulty ratings are marked ‘AZZURI’ the easiest, ‘ROSSI’ more difficult and ‘NERI’ the most difficult.
2. Access inside the Bike Park is absolutely prohibited to persons on foot or in possession of any other means. Nevertheless, should it happen that a rider sees a pedestrian on the circuit he should immediately slow down and behave in a right and proper way in the light of this dangerous situation; the rider must immediately inform the people responsible of the situation. Finally, it is absolutely forbidden to exit the signposted circuits.
3. Access to the Bike Park is permitted exclusively and only to holders of the ‘Bikepass’. Users of the Bike Park assume complete responsibility for their own behaviour and any consequences of the same and for these regulations. The owners or subsequent third parties running the Bike Park accept absolutely no responsibility.
4. Minors: Access to the circuits marked ‘Neri’ is prohibited to under 14s, whilst those marked ‘AZZURI’ or ‘ROSSI’ may be used but only if accompanied by an adult. For ALL minors both under and over 14 years a parent must sign the appropriate forms assuming responsibility, before using any of the lifts.
5. Access to the Bike Park is permitted only during the ope-ning times: The Park may be closed at any time, by the owners or those in charge of the Park, (if different from the owners) without previous notification or warning for reasons of maintenance or safety, or due to weather conditions or force magieure. In these circumstances no refund will be given to holders of the ‘Bikepass’.
6. It is obligatory to observe and respect the notices and signs on the circuits. In the event of paths and roads crossing the circuits, cyclists MUST pay strict attention to vehicles or pedestrians and in particular giving them pre-cedence. It is obligatory to abide by the rules stipulated by the personnel of the Park. Users can receive further information from qualified staff at the ‘Scuole M.T.B. these having the agreements and collaboration with the Park.
7. Users of the ‘Bike Park’ must be in possession of all the necessary skills and technical expertise, physical training and knowledge before taking on the chosen trails. It is obligatory to keep speed under control: this should be calculated according to the characteristics of the circuit and the ability and preparation of the rider. It is strongly recommended to do a trial run at low speed. During the first round we recommend keeping a steady speed in order to confirm the general state or condition of the circuit, as these can change very quickly even after each subsequent lap. It is obligatory to the keep the required distance from the person in front of you: if there are any stationary bikes you must slow down immediately to avoid stoppages. In the case of an unavoidable stop due to situations beyond your control you must remain in a visible and safe position.
8. It is obligatory to wear a crash helmet, and back, chest, elbow and leg protection. It is also strongly recommen-ded that gloves, protective socks, neck and a facemask are worn. Equipment used should be checked regularly and always be in perfect condition. In the case of sporting competitions and/or specific events other arrangements may be possible.
9. Where there are ‘jumps, bridges, or gangways’ or any other artificial structures they must be taken on with the correct physical fitness and technical preparation in
