CONCLUSION

23. During the Adventure camp the training was imparted to make the NSS

volunteers confident of living in Mountainous terrain, adjust with difficulties faced during

their stay away from home and to accept and adapt with different cultures. Cultural

exchange through adventure helped the volunteers in development of their personality,

sportsmanship and character. They were also made aware of the environmental

changes and its adverse effects in future and the steps to be taken to counter the issue.

They were guided regarding how they can pursue their profession taking in

consideration their hobby of interest in adventure. The performance of the participants

validates the fact that desired standards of exposure and training in adventure activities

and mountain techniques were achieved.
