6 Easy Steps:Step 1 – Apply to Salem Community College
Complete and submit a free SCC admissions application Submit an official high school transcript or GED along with official college
transcript (if applicable) Register to take the ACCUPLACER placement test or provide proof of
exemption: SAT Scores: Math 530; Critical Reading 540 High school GPA of 3.0 or higher (must have graduated within 5 years) Proof of previous college placement testing from another college Transfer credit in college level English and college level Math from another
collegeIf you have transfer credit from another college, this must be transferred
to SCC before the April 1st 2016 admission deadline! Therefore, get your transcripts to SCC pronto!
6 Easy Steps:Step 2 – Prepare for ATI TEAS V
Begin studying for the ATI TEAS V – Nursing Entrance Exam Topics Include
Reading – Paragraph and passage comprehension, and informational source comprehension
Math – Numbers and operations, algebraic applications, data interpretation, and measurement
Science – Human body science, life science, earth and physical science, scientific reasoning
English and Language Usage – Grammar and word meanings in context, spelling and punctuation, structure
Study guides and practice exams can be purchased at SCC’s bookstore or directly through ATI: www.atitesting.com
Additional ATI TEAS V Information
The ATI TEAS V is a computerized test that takes a maximum of 209 minutes and includes 150 multiple choice questions
No calculators are allowed! The exam cost $80 Paid directly to ATI through the website www.atitesting.com Dates, Times and Classroom is on SCC Website under Nursing Can I retake the exam to get a higher score? Yes!
There is no penalty for retesting - must wait 45 days to retestMay only test 3 times per year - 365 days from 1st test dateScores are good for 2 years

6 Easy Steps:Step 3: Sign up for the ATI TEAS
V
The ATI TEAS V MUST be taken at Salem Community CollegeStudents may sign up to take the exam beginning in October
2015You must be an SCC student to take the examTest fee is $80
If you plan to test more than 1 time, it is highly recommended that you sign up for multiple test dates at the same time.
Test dates fill the closer it gets to the application deadline. SCC will not offer additional test dates beyond what is
currently available.

Requirements
When reviewing your ATI TEAS V test scores: ALL Nursing Applicants need a minimum ATI TEAS V score of
50% in both Math and Reading PN applicants need a cumulative score of 50% or higher for consideration ADN applicants need a cumulative score of 60% or higher for consideration
Students must be ready to take A & P 1 and ENG101 If you have already completed these course then you are ready If you have not completed these courses, please be sure that you have
completed the prerequisite to these courses so you can begin these courses prior to or at the start of the Nursing Program.
These courses are NOT prerequisites to the Nursing Program!

Points assigned to course gradesOnly 4 courses are eligible for points on rubric:
ALL COURSE GRADES MUST BE “C+” OR HIGHER If a student retakes a course listed above to
obtain a higher grade, 1 point is deducted from rubric
If a student withdrawals from a course listed above, 1 point is deducted from rubric
If a student retakes a course because the course has expired, no points are deducted
A & P I & II have a 5 year time limit. These courses must be retaken if they are expired.

Admission Packets
Submit your completed packet no later than 3:00 pm on Friday, April 1, 2016 to Tillis Hall Room 215. LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!
Packet Includes: Student Checklist Rubric Sheet ADN applicants only – copy of active LPN license ATI TEAS V Access Report (total score report) – found under “my results” Official High School transcript or GED & College (if applicable)
Remember, your transfer credit must be on your SCC transcript before the submission deadline of April 1st, 2016.
