<概要> 東北大学 加齢医学研究所 スマート・エイジング国際共同研究センター (センター長 川島隆太教
授)では、脳の働きを活性化する朝ごはんの機能に着目し、その関係性を探るべく、20代から60代の
ビジネスマン1000人を対象に「幸せ度とライフスタイルに関する調査」に関するインターネットでの
アンケート調査を2010年 7月 12日(月)から14日(水)の3日間にわたって行いました。アンケー
ト結果から、朝ごはんを食べる習慣の有無と幸せ度や生活の満足度との関係性を探りました。
<調査結果> 20 代から 60代のビジネスマン1000人(男性 500人・女性500人)を対象に、朝ごはん習慣と幸せ度と
生活満足度の関係を調べました。その結果、毎日しっかりとバランスの取れた朝ごはんを食べている
人たちは、生活の充実度や自由時間の活用の満足度だけでなく、仕事や経済的な満足度も高いことが
明らかになりました。
<調査総括> 朝ごはん習慣を身につけていない小・中学生の学力が低いことは、文部科学省の調査で明らかになって
います。加えて当研究室がこれまでに行った大学生と社会人を対象とした調査研究は、朝食習慣のない
人は、希望の大学に入れない、入学した大学の偏差値が低い、希望の会社等に就職できない、年収も低
い傾向などがあることが示してきました。
そして、今回の調査から、朝食の習慣が社会人の幸せ度と生活全般の満足度(生活の質)を決めているこ
とがはっきりとしてきました。つまり、社会人として、本当の意味で幸せを享受するには、バランスの
よい朝食を毎日摂るといった当たり前の生活習慣を当たり前に行うことこそが、私たちの幸せ感と関係
していることが今回の調査で明らかになりました。
