Peyarchi is the movement of planets from one Rasi to another. Every planet goes through the movement. Sani and Guru transitory movements are considered important. Sani (Saturn) takes two and half years to move from one Rasi to another.

Friday, January 24, 2020 marks the day of Sani Peyarchi (Entry of Saturn into Makara Rasi from Dhanus Rasi). Entry into Makara Rasi is of special significance to devotees with Janma Nakshatram (Birth Star) of Uttarashadha (2, 3 and 4 padams), Shravana (all) and Dhanistha (1 and 2 padams).

It is believed that worshipping Lord Siva and Sanaischara on this important day is very beneficial and gives spiritual knowledge and generosity. Darsanam of Sanaischara on this auspicious day aids in relief from Navagraha Doshas and contributes towards a bright, prosperous and peaceful new year.

Devotees may also note that the Navagraha Devatas at Sri Lalitha Peetham are Patni-Vahana-Sameta (With Spouse and Vehicle). Darsanam of Patni Vahana Sameta Sanaischara is extremely beneficial on this auspicious day.

Sri Lalitha Peetham is organizing Sri Lakshmi Sahasranama Archana at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 25, 2020 followed by Nava Graha Devata Abhishekam. During this event sponsoring devotees will be able to perform Abhishekam personally by offering milk to Nava Graha Devatas. Devotees who signed up for Sri Lalitha Devi Maha Yagnam are encouraged to participate in this event and chant Japa mantras at the Temple to realize enhanced benefits. Any devotees, who are yet to receive Sankalapam for the Maha Yagnam, may do so after the Abhishekam.
