REASONS FOR EXCEEDING 22000 ROUNDS PER YEAR

Survey did not include out of province golfers.

Nearest two 9 hole golf courses are averaging 30000 plus rounds/year.

Located on Highway 11 which is the second busiest highway section in the province, averaging 4326 vehicles/day.

Highway 11 is the tourist route to the north, which will contribute to tourists vying for reservations on this course.

Based on the 1990-1998 golf study, yearly trends are on the increase.

Since 9/11 and the Iragi war, people are showing a tendency to travel abroad less. This should transmit into more dollars being spent on local sport, culture and tourism.

Baby boomers are beginning to retire, this translates into more leisure time and dollars to be spent locally.
