丁寧に開梱し、新しい ProTeam 掃除機が輸送中に破損していないか調べます。出荷前にはユニットの徹底的な検査が行われます。輸送中の破損に関しては、すぐに ProTeam までご連絡ください (866.888.2168)。返品には返品確認番号 (RAN) が必要です。

本マニュアルには、電気掃除機の使用および安全な操作に関する重要な情報が記載されています。ご使用前に本マニュアルを十分にお読みください。本マニュアルはすぐに取り出せる場所に保管し、オペレーターは必ず本マニュアルを読むようにしてください。手順に従わなかった場合、ケガをしたり、機器類や家具などの所有物が破損する可能性があります。

安全上の重要な注意事項

電化製品をご使用になる際には、以下のような基本的な注意事項を必ず守ってください:

本製品をご使用になる前に取扱説明書をお読みください。そうでない場合、重大なケガや死亡につながる可能性があります。火災、感電、ケガの危険性を減らすために、以下のことを守ってください:

1. 本マニュアルの説明に従い、それ以外の使用は避けてください。推奨されている付属品または交換部品のみを使用してください。

2. 使用しないときは、ProTeam 掃除機をコンセントにつないだままにしないでください。点検修理の際にはコンセントからプラグを抜いてください。

3. 屋外または濡れている場所で使用しないでください。

4. 本掃除機で液体を吸い込まないでください。本機は乾燥ゴミ専用です。

5. 損傷したコードやプラグは使用しないでください。本機が正常に動作しない場合や、本機を落とした場合、破損した場合、屋外に放置した場合、水がかかった場合は、ProTeam 公認の保証センターに検査と修理をご依頼ください。

6. 掃除機をおもちゃとして使用しないでください。掃除機を子供の近くで使用する場合は、十分に注意してください。

7. コードを引っ張って掃除機を移動させないでください。また、コードをハンドル代わりに使用しないでください。コードをドアではさんだり、鋭い場所や角に当たった状態でコードを引っ張ったりしないでください。コードを引っ張り出し過ぎないでください。高温の場所にコードを近づけないでください。

8. コンセントから抜くときにコードを引っ張らないでください。コードではなく、プラグをしっかりと握り、引き抜いてください。

9. プラグ、スイッチ、掃除機本体をぬれた手でさわらないでください。

10. 開口部に異物を入れないでください。開口部をふさいだ状態で使用しないでください。ほこり、糸くず、髪の毛、および空気の流れを妨げる可能性があるものが入り込まないようにしてください。

11. 髪の毛、服のすそ、指、体のあらゆる部分が開口部や可動部に近づかないように注意してください。

12. コンセントからプラグを抜く前に、本体のスイッチを切ってください。

13. 階段を掃除するときは特に気をつけてご使用ください。

14. 引火性または可燃性のものや、タバコ、マッチ、熱い灰などの燃えているものや煙が出ている状態のものを吸い込まないでください。

15. モーター内部の火花によって可燃性のガスや粉塵に引火することがあります。火災や爆発の危険性を減らすため、ガソリンなどの燃料、軽油、洗浄剤、油性塗料、天然ガスなど、可燃性の液体、気体、または粉塵の近くで使用しないでください。

16. 有毒なガスや粉塵を吸いこむ危険性を減らすために、有毒または有害物質の近くでの使用は避けてください。

17. 使用後はインターセプトマイクロフィルターを空にしてから、保管してください。木材の粉じんや木くずの中には、掃除機内に長時間とどまると燃え出す可能性があるものがあります。

18. フィルターは必ず指定の場所に取り付けた状態で使用してください。

19. 本掃除機は二重絶縁されています 。二重絶縁構造の電化製品の点検修理には、細心の注意とシステムの知識が必要です。また、点検修理は資格を持つサービス担当者のみが行います。二重絶縁構造製品の部品交換には、交換部品と同一の部品を使用する必要があります。

I N T R O d U c T I O Nはじめに

• コードにほころびがあったり、コードが擦り切れていたり、損傷している状態で掃除機を使用しないでください。

• 液体を吸い込まないでください。また、雨や水が掃除機にかからないようにしてください。

• 有害または有毒物質を吸い込まないでください。

• 引火性または可燃性のものを吸い込むために掃除機を使用しないでください。また、それらをフィルターバッグに入れたままの状態にしないでください。

• 長時間にわたって使用する際に背負い型掃除機を床に置かないでください。

モーター電気スルーフロー真空モーターは、ぬれた場所や湿った状態、乾燥した化学物質やその他の揮発性物質がある場所、閉め切った場所では絶対に使用しないでください。これらのモーターは、吸い込んだ空気に電気配線を通過させて冷却するように設計されています。したがって、あらゆる液体 (水を含む) や乾燥した化学物質、導電体に接触するような異物は、発火 (揮発性による) または感電を起こす可能性があります。これらの注意事項に従わなかった場合、所有物の破損やケガにつながり、最悪の場合は死に至ります。

電気関連すべての背負い型モデルは、120 ボルト/60 Hz で使用します。一部の ProTeam モデルは、220 ボルト/50 Hz で使用します。220 ボルト/50Hz 掃除機の入手に関しては、ProTeam にお問い合わせください。本マニュアルの対象は、120 ボルト/60Hz モデルと 120 ボルト/400 Hz モデルのみです。大幅な電圧の変化は、高電圧でも低電圧でも、モーターの損傷を引き起こす可能性があり、早い時期にモーターが故障する原因になります。型番号と仕様は ProTeam にお問い合わせください。

本マニュアルに記載されている全機種は、動作中に極めて高い温度が検出された場合に真空モーターの電源がオフになる過熱防止スイッチがついています。このような状況は、空気の通り道がふさがれた場合、詰まっている場合、またはフィルターが満杯になった場合などに発生することがあります。

過度の温度上昇が起こった場合は、掃除機のスイッチをすぐにオフにして、ホースの詰まりを調べ、フィルターバッグの状態を確認します。必要に応じてフィルターバッグを交換するか、空にします。掃除機の温度が安全に使用できる程度に下がるまでは数分かかります。安全な動作温度に達すると、過熱防止スイッチがリセットされ、通常通りに掃除機が使えるようになります。

二重絶縁の説明

二重絶縁掃除機の点検修理

本掃除機はアースを必要としない二重絶縁構造です。交換部品は必ず同じものを使用してください。

二重絶縁掃除機では、アースの代わりに 2 種類の絶縁システムがついています。二重絶縁構造製品にはアースをとる手段は提供されず、アースを追加する必要もありません。二重絶縁構造の掃除機の点検修理には、細心の注意とシステムの知識が必要です。また、点検修理は資格を持つサービス担当者のみが行います。二重絶縁構造掃除機の部品交換には、交換部品と同一の部品を使用する必要があります。二重絶縁構造の掃除機には「二重絶縁」の言葉が記載されています。また、製品に四角が二重に入っている記号が表示されている場合もあります。感電によるケガの危険性を減らすには、掃除機の電気部品の点検修理を行う前にコンセントから電源プラグを抜いてください。

推奨予防保全• メンテナンスを行うときは、掃除機の電源プラグを抜いてください。• 毎回のご使用前に電気コード全体の状態をチェックしてください。

到着時破損や不足、故障している部品がないかどうかチェックします。破損、不足、故障があった場合、または質問がある場合は、ProTeam にご連絡ください。

毎日/毎回のご使用後インターセプトマイクロフィルターをチェックします。満杯の場合は空にするか、外してください。ProTeam の掃除機に対する保証を受けるには、全機種について純正のインターセプトマイクロフィルターを使用する必要があります。マイクロ布フィルターをチェックします。汚れている場合は洗い、自然乾燥させてから掃除機に戻します。掃除機の使用中はすべてのフィルターを指定の場所に取り付ける必要があります。それにより、空気の流れが最適化され、モーターの過剰な稼働を防ぐことができます。

定期的ハーネスがフィットしていて不快でないかどうかチェックします。紛失したり、損傷がある部分は交換してください。

電気コードに関する注意事項掃除機とコンセントの間でコードをきつく引っ張らないでください。コードは引っ張られた状態では適切に機能せず、コードやプラグに損傷を与える可能性があり、つまずく危険も生まれます。延長コードと電源コードをまとめておくために結ばないでください。両方のコードが損傷する可能性があります。その場合は保証の対象になりません。付属のコードホルダーをご使用ください。

掃除後は、延長コードの両端を抜き、ゆるく巻いておきます。• コードは差し込み口からプラグに向かって巻いていきます。• コードは巻く前にできる限りまっすぐ伸ばして床におきます。• コードを巻きとるために、自分の腕やひじにコードを巻きつけないでください。このよう

な方法でくりかえし巻きとると、コードがねじれて巻きとったりほどいたりしにくくなります。

ProTeam 交換用延長コードか、用途に合ったサイズのコードを使用してください。 延長コードの被覆の種類は SJT 以上で、屋外用に分類されていることが必要です。延長コードの状態が悪い場合や、線のサイズが小さすぎる場合は、火災や感電の危険があります。これらの危険性を減らすには、コードがよい状態であることを確認し、接続部に液体がかからないようにしてください。導体の線径が 16 (AWG) 未満の延長コードを使用しないでください。電力の損失を減らすために、延長コードの長さが 100 フィートを超える場合は線径 14 AWG のコードを使用してください。

その他の点検修理は、必ず資格を持ったサービス担当者が行ってください。

適切な保管方法• 以下の情報は資格を持ったサービス担当者のみを対象としており、通

常の使用状況におけるトラブルシューティングとメンテナンスに関するアドバイスが提供されます。

• モーターや電気部品の作業をするときは、掃除機の電源プラグを抜いてください。

モーターブラシカーボンモーターブラシやモーターの交換は、ProTeam 公認のサービスセンターまたは保証センターのみが行います。ブラシを交換できるモーターの交換の目安:1. 購入後 800 時間使用2. 再交換後 400 時間使用3. 再交換後 200 時間使用

トラブルシューティング

1. 掃除機が動かないときは、以下の点をチェックしてください。a. 電源コードが壁のコンセントにつながれている。b. 電源コードが掃除機につながっている。c. スイッチが「ON」の位置になっていて、適切に機能する。

2. 短いコードが熱くなってきた場合、プラグがしっかりと差し込まれていて、損傷がないかどうかを確認してください。差し込み方がゆるいと、オーバーヒートの原因になります。電力の損失を減らすために、長さが30 m (100 フィート) 以下で導体の線径1.5 mm2 (16 AWG) 未満の延長コードを使用しないでください。延長コードの長さが30 m (100 フィート) を超える場合は、線径2.0 mm2 (14 AWG) 未満のコードを使用しないでください。

3. 掃除機の底から出てきた排気がいつもよりも暖かい場合は、4 ヶ所のフィルターすべてを確認、掃除または交換してください。

4. 電源スイッチが機能しない場合は、建物のブレーカーをチェックしてください。問題がない場合は、ProTeam にご連絡ください。

5. 吸引力がなくなっているときは、以下の点をチェックしてください。a. ホース、管、ヘッドにゴミが詰まっていないかどうかチェックしてください。b. インターセプトマイクロフィルターとマイクロ布フィルターの両方を確認、掃除、

または交換してください。c. ホースのカフスがホースにしっかりと取り付けられており、傷がないことをチェッ

クしてください。d. キャップが掃除機本体に正しく取り付けられているかどうかをチェックしてくださ

い。

エルゴノミクス

• TailVac では、掃除機の重量がオペレーターの腰にもかかるようにして、均等に分散します。パッド付きのウエストベルトと腰・肩ストラップは体型に合わせて調節可能です。

• 電源スイッチは使いやすさを考えた TailVac 本体左側にあります。• 作業内容に合わせて適切なアタッチメントをご使用ください。ProTeam はオペレータ

ーが腰をかがめたり、無理な姿勢をとらなくてもほとんどの作業を行うことができるアタッチメントをご用意しています。

TAILVAC をご使用になるための準備

1. キャップを外し、マイクロ布フィルターを引き出します。ドームフィルターが輸送中にずれていないことを確認してください (図 A)。マイクロ布フィルターを再度取り付け、フィルターの縁が掃除機の枠を完全に覆っていることを確認してください。

2. マイクロ布フィルターの内側にインターセプトマイクロフィルターを取り付けます (まだ取り付けられていない場合)。使用前にはフィルターを毎回チェックしてください。必要な場合は空にするか、交換してください。

注:マイクロ布フィルターがない状態でインターセプトマイクロフィルターを使用しないでください。(マイクロ布フィルターのゴムガスケットには密閉する役割があります。)

3. キャップを戻します。エンドキャップの穴にホースを押し込みます (図 B)。エンドキャップはオペレーターが右利きか左利きかによって変えることができます。

4. ウエストベルトがついたモノストラップシステムにより、TailVac はユーザーが快適に作業できるように 3 通りの調整が可能です。封筒型のパックで包まれたウエストベルトを備えた TailVac は、一体化されたハンドルを持って持ち運ぶことができます。また、モノストラップをつなげて肩から掛けることも可能です。TailVac はサポート用のモノストラップがあってもなくても腰回りに装着できます。

5. ウエストベルトの基部からマジックテープを外して、ストラップを上げます (図 C、a)。

6. マジックテープを掃除機に一体化されたハンドルの下を通して、ハンドルの上に回して戻します。ストラップの端をマジックテープのタブに留めます (図 D、a)。

7. ウエストベルトを自分に向けた状態で、右手でフラップの端とベルトの後ろの間にあるマジックテープを外します (図 E、b)。

8. そのまま右手を左に動かして、マジックテープをすべてはがします (図 F)。左手でウエストベルトの後ろから自分の方にフラップを引っ張り (b)、フラップを外に出します (c)。

9. 掃除機を装着するには、着けたい方の肩にモノストラップをかけます (図 G)。右側のフラップを正面にまわし (c)、左側のフラップを右側のフラップの上に通して (b)、ベルトを締めます。

10. 不快感がないように肩ストラップを調整します。ストラップの長さを調節するか、前のスナップフックをウエストベルト正面のリングに引っかけることによって調節できます (図 H)。

注:体への負担を減らすには、肩ストラップを左右の肩で 2 時間ごとに掛け替えてください。

注:モノストラップが装着されていない場合は、手順 8 と 9 の間で、モノストラップの短い端についているスナップフックをマジックテープの端についているリングにはめる手順を入れてください。モノストラップの反対の端にあるフックをウエストベルトの 4 つのリングのどちらかにはめます。右利きの場合はフラップ (c) のリングに、左利きの場合はフラップ (b) のリングに取り付けます。

11. アルミニウム製の管をホースにねじ込みます (図 I)。ホースカフスの両端に隙間がないことを確認してください。

12. ウエストベルトのコードホルダーに延長コードを通します (図 J)。延長コードと電源コードは結ばないでください。両方のコードが損傷する可能性があります。その場合は保証の対象になりません (図 K)。

1. 掃除の開始前と終了後に必ず毎回インターセプトマイクロフィルターをチェックしてください。フィルターが詰まっていたり、汚れていると、空気の流れが邪魔されて吸引力の低下やオーバーヒートを招き、掃除機が損傷する場合があります。

2. ビル全体を掃除するときは、2 時間ごとに停止するか、必要に応じてインターセプトマイクロフィルターのゴミを払い落してください (図 A)。必要な場合は新品のインターセプトマイクロフィルターに交換してください。

注:特に満杯になったインターセプトマイクロフィルターが破れることを防ぐため、インターセプトマイクロフィルターとマイクロ布フィルターは一緒に取り外してください (図 B)。インターセプトマイクロフィルターはマイクロ布フィルターの内側に取り付けてください。

3. 1 ヶ月に 1 回 (必要な場合はもっと短い間隔で) はマイクロ布フィルターを手洗いするか、洗濯機で洗濯し、自然乾燥させてください。(乾燥機には入れないでください。)

4. 1 週間に 1 回 (必要な場合はもっと短い間隔で) は掃除機の内部のインターセプトマイクロフィルターとマイクロ布フィルターの下にあるドームフィルターを洗ってください (図 C)。

a. ドームフィルターのカバーを外し、フォーム材を取り外します (図 D)。ゴミを払い落とし、水で洗い流し、十分に自然乾燥させます。

b. 次に使用する前にフォーム材をドームフィルターに戻します。必要に応じて新品のフォーム材に交換してください。

c. ドームフィルターのカバーを元の場所にしっかりとはめます。

注:フォーム材の代わりに高性能フィルターディスクを使用する場合は、2 ～ 3 週間ごとにチェックしてください。ディスクが変色してきたら、新品のディスクに交換してください。高性能フィルターディスクの寿命は、使用状況とインターセプトマイクロフィルターおよびマイクロ布フィルターのお手入れによって大きく変わります。

完了させます。

背負い型または床移動型 – 限定保証

ProTeam, Inc. (住所: 12438 W. Bridger Street, Boise, Idaho 83713) (以下「Pro-Team」と呼ぶ) は、当初の購入日から以下に掲げる期間 (それぞれ「保証期間」と呼ぶ)、下記の除外対象をもって、当初購入者 (以下「お客様」と呼ぶ) にのみ、背負い型または床移動型の構成部品、モーター、およびその作業の材質や仕上がりに欠陥がないことを保証します。この限定保証は、当初購入者が背負い型または床移動型掃除機を他人または他事業者に譲渡した時点で失効します。

部品の保証 - 背負い型掃除機および床移動型掃除機

• Super HalfVac Pro の成型部品 - 3 年

• 他のすべての背負い型掃除機および床移動型掃除機の成型部品 - 背負い型または床移動型掃除機の耐用年数

• GoFree Pro バッテリパックは 1 年の配分保証、充電器は 1 年保証

• GoCartVac バッテリパックは 6 カ月保証、充電器は 1 年保証

• ProTeam による支配が及ばない、誤用、事故、乱用、放棄、不注意 (ProTeam による場合を除く)、意図を超えた酷使、または許可されない改良または改造 (これらを含むが限定されない) などの状況から生じる背負い型または床移動型掃除機の紛失または損傷。

• 規定の定期メンテナンスを怠った場合や ProTeam の書面による指示書、ガイドライン、あるいは取扱説明書の条項に従って背負い型または床移動型掃除機を使用することを怠った場合に生じる背負い型または床移動型掃除機の紛失または損傷。

当方による問題の解決

保証期間中の請求内容が本限定保証の対象である場合、ProTeam またはお客様の最寄りの ProTeam 認定販売店は ProTeam の自由裁量に基づいて (a) 背負い型または床移動型掃除機の不良箇所を修理するか、または (b)背負い型または床移動型掃除機を丸ごと交換します。本限定保証の違反に対する唯一の救済手段は、背負い型または床移動型掃除機の修理または交換に限定されるものとします。

限定保証前述の限定保証は ProTeam による当初購入者に対する唯一かつ排他的な保証であり、書面または口頭を問わず、明示または黙示を問わず、たとえ市場性や特定の目的への適合性の保証など、またそのような目的が明らかであったかどうか、また背負い型または床移動型掃除機がお客様の使用または目的に対応するように特に設計されていたかどうかなどを含めて (ただしこれらに限定されない) 、そのような保証が法の作用およびその他の理由によって生じたとしても、本限定保証が他のあらゆる保証に代わるものとします。

従業員、代理店、販売店の誰であれ、本限定保証に変更を加えたり、ProTeam を代表して他の保証を作成したりしてはなりません。本限定保証の条項は、ProTeam、当初購入者、またはその各相続者あるいは譲受人も改定してはなりません。

当社への通知方法

修理および交換の手続き

This manual has important information for the use and safe operation of the vacuum cleaners. Read this manual carefully before starting the machine. Keep this manual available at all times and instruct all operators to read this manual. If instructions are not followed, an injury may occur or equipment, furniture, or other property may become damaged.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUcTIONSWhen using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:

Read Owner’s Manual before using this product. Failure to do so can result in serious injury or death. To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury:

1. Use only as described in this manual. Use only the recommended attachments and replacement parts.

2. DO NOT leave any ProTeam vacuum plugged in when not in use. Unplug unit from the outlet before servicing.

16. To reduce the risk of inhaling toxic vapors or dust, DO NOT vacuum or use near toxic or hazardous materials.

17. Empty the Intercept Micro® Filter after every use and before storage. Some types of wood dust and debris may catch on fire, if stored in the vacuum.

18. DO NOT use without filters in place.19. This vacuum is double insulated, . Servicing a double-insulated appliance requires

extreme care and knowledge of the system, and should be done only by qualified ser-vice personnel. Replacement parts for a double-insulated appliance must be identical to the parts they replace.

MOTORElectric thru-flow vacuum motors must never be used in applications in which wet or moist conditions are involved, where dry chemicals or other volatile materials are present, or where airflow may be restricted or blocked. Such motors are designed to permit the vacu-umed air to pass over the electrical wiring to cool it. Therefore, any liquid (including water), dry chemical, or other foreign substance which would come in contact with electrical conductors could cause combustion (depending on volatility) or electrical shock. Failure to observe these precautions could result in property damage and personal injury, including death in extreme cases.

ELEcTRIcALAll backpack models are available in 120 volt/60 Hz. Some ProTeam models are available in 220 volt/50 Hz. Call ProTeam for availability of 220 volt/50 Hz vacuums. This document only applies to 120 volt/60 Hz, or 120 volt/400 Hz models. Severe changes in voltage, high or low, can cause damage to the motor and cause premature motor failure. Model numbers and specifications can be obtained by calling ProTeam.

Each vacuum cleaner described in this manual is equipped with a thermal protection cutoff switch which will remove power from the vacuum motor if excessively high operating tem-peratures are detected. This condition may arise as the result of a blocked vacuum passage, or clogged or full filters.

If a thermal trip takes place, immediately toggle the vacuum’s switch to OFF and inspect for an airflow blockage in the hose and verify the condition of the filter bag. Replace or empty the filter bag as required. The vacuum will require several minutes to cool down to a safe operating temperature. When this temperature is attained, the thermal switch will reset and the vacuum will be able to be used in the normal manner.

SERVIcING OF dOUBLE-INSULATEd VAcUUM cLEANER

This vacuum is double-insulated, eliminating the need for a separate grounding system. Use only identical replacement parts.

In a double-insulated vacuum, two systems of insulation are provided instead of grounding. No grounding means is provided on a double-insulated appliance, nor should a means for ground-ing be added. Servicing a double-insulated vacuum requires extreme care and knowledge of the system, and should be done only by qualified service personnel. Replacement parts for a double-insulated vacuum must be identical to the parts they replace. Your double-insulated vacuum is marked with the words “DOUBLE INSULATED” and the square within a square symbol may also be marked on the appliance. To reduce the risk of injury from electrical shock, unplug power cord before servicing the electrical parts of the vacuum.

UPON REcEIPTCheck unit for any damage, missing or broken parts. Call ProTeam with this information, along with any questions you may have.

dAILY/AFTER EAcH USECheck Intercept Micro Filter. Empty/remove if full. All ProTeam vacuums must use genuine Inter-cept Micro Filters to maintain valid vacuum warranty. Check Micro Cloth Filter. If dirty, rinse out and air dry before replacing back into vacuum. All filters must be in place to operate vacuum. This will optimize airflow and prevent the motor from laboring.

PERIOdIcALLYCheck harness for fit and comfort. Replace lost or damaged pieces.

ELEcTRIcAL cORd cARENEVER stretch the cord tightly between the vacuum and the outlet. A cord that is stretched or pulled will not function properly and can damage the cord or plug, and creates a tripping hazard.

DO NOT tie extension cord and power cord together in a knot in an effort to keep the con-nection together. Doing so will result in damage to both cords and will not be covered under warranty. Instead, use the provided cord holder.

After vacuuming, unplug the extension cord at both ends and wind it up loosely.

• Wind the cord from the female receptacle to the male plug.• Lay the cord out, as straight as possible, on the floor before winding.• DO NOT wind the cord up by wrapping it around your hand and elbow, as repeated

winding in this manner will result in twisted cord that is hard to wind and unwind.

Use only a ProTeam replacement extension cord, or one that is properly sized for your applica-tion. Extension cord jacket type should be SJT or better and rated for outdoor use. Extension cords in poor condition or too small in wire size can pose fire and shock hazards. To reduce the risk of these hazards, be sure the cord is in good condition and that liquid does not contact the connection. Do not use an extension cord with conductors smaller than 16 gauge (AWG) in size. To reduce power loss, use a 14 gauge extension cord if longer than 100 ft.

Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.

PROPER STORAGEWhen the vacuum is not in use, the vacuum and extension cord should be stored indoors and in a dry place. • The following information is for use by qualified service personnel only, and provides guidance for troubleshooting and maintenance under normal working conditions. • UNPLUG the vacuum when working on the motor or any

electrical part.MOTOR BRUSHESOnly a ProTeam-authorized service or warranty center should replace the carbon motor brushes or motor. Replacement schedule for motors with replaceable brushes:1. After the first 800 hours of operation.2. Again after the next 400 hours of operation.3. Again after the next 200 hours of operation.

TROUBLESHOOTING

1. If the vacuum will not operate, check the following: a. The power supply cord at the wall outlet. b. The power supply cord at the vacuum. c. That the switch is in the “on” position and functioning properly.

2. If the short cord is getting warm, check to see that the plug connection is tight and un-damaged. A loose connection can result in overheating. To reduce power loss, do not use an extension cord with conductors smaller than 16 AWG or 1.5 mm2 for lengths up to 100 ft (30 m). For extension cords longer than 100 ft (30 m), do not use cord less than 14 AWG or 2.0 mm2 cross section.

3. If the exhaust that comes out of the bottom of the vacuum is warmer than usual, check, clean or replace all four filters.

4. If the power switch fails, check the circuit breaker in the building. If that is not the problem, contact ProTeam.

5. If loss of suction occurs, check the following: a. Check that debris is not plugging the hose, wand, and/or floor tool. b. Check, clean or replace both Intercept Micro and Micro Cloth filters. c. Check that the hose cuffs are fitting tightly on the hose and are not cracked. d. Check that the cap is properly attached to the vacuum body.

ERGONOMIcS

• With the TailVac, the weight of the vacuum should be carried on the operator’s hip and be evenly distributed. The padded waist belt or waist and shoulder strap is adjustable for a custom fit.

• The on/off switch is conveniently placed for easy access on the left side of the TailVac body.

• Use the proper attachments for the job. ProTeam has attachments to perform most jobs without requiring that the operator to bend over or get into difficult positions.

PREPARING THE TAILVAc FOR OPERATION1. Remove the cap and pull out the Micro Cloth Filter. Check that the Dome Filter has not shifted during shipping (Figure A). Reinstall the Micro Cloth filter, making sure the lip of the filter completely covers the rim of the vacuum.

2. Install an Intercept Micro Filter inside of the Micro Cloth filter (if there is not one installed already). At the beginning of each use, the filters should be checked. Empty or replace if necessary.

NOTE: Never use an Intercept Micro Filter without the Micro cloth Filter. (The Micro cloth filter’s rubber gasket provides the seal.)

3. Replace the cap. Push the hose into the end cap opening (Figure B). End caps are interchangeable for right- or left-handed operators.

4. The waist belt with monostrap system allows the TailVac to be utilized in three different ways to accommodate the user with a choice of comfortable adjustments.

With the waist belt wrapped up in an envelope-style packet, the TailVac can be carried by the molded top handle or, with the monostrap connected, can be slung over the shoulder. The TailVac can also be worn around the waist with or without the monostrap for support.

5. Detach the Velcro® strap from the base of the waist belt and lift the strap (Figure C, a).

6. Slide the Velcro strap under the molded plastic handle of the vacuum and back around over the top of the handle. Attach the end of the strap to the Velcro tab (Figure D, a).

7. With the waist belt facing you, use your right hand to separate the exposed Velcro between the end of flap and the back of the belt (Figure E, b).

8. Continue to slide your right hand all the way to the left to separate the remaining Velcro (Figure F). With your left hand, pull the flap (b) out from behind the waist belt and toward you to expose flap (c).

9. To put the vacuum on, slide the monostrap up over your preferred shoulder (Figure G). Fasten the belt by bringing the right flap (c) across the front, then bring the left flap (b) over on top of the right flap.

10. Adjust the comfort of the shoulder strap by adjusting the length of the strap and/or attaching the front snap hook to any of the other rings on the front of the waist belt (Figure H).

NOTE: For maximum comfort, alternate the shoulder strap to the right or left shoulder every two hours.

NOTE: If the monostrap is not attached, insert this step be-tween steps 8 and 9: Attach the hook on the short end of the monostrap to the ring up on the end of the Velcro strap (a). Attach the hook on the other end of the monostrap to any of the four rings on the waist belt. Attach to rings on flap (c) if right-handed, and flap (b) if left-handed.

11. Twist the aluminum wand into the hose (Figure I). Check hose cuffs at both ends to make sure that they are tight.

12. Thread the extension cord through the cord holder on the waistbelt (Figure J). DO NOT tie extension cord and power cord together. Doing so will result in damage to both cords and will not be covered under warranty (Figure K).

1. Check the Intercept Micro Filter EACH and EVERY time you start and finish vacuuming. A clogged and dirty filter restricts airflow, resulting in reduced suction, overheating and possible damage to the vacuum.

2. While vacuuming throughout a building, stop every two hours or as needed to shake out the Intercept Micro Filter (Figure A). Replace with a new Intercept Micro Filter when necessary.

NOTE: Lift both Intercept Micro Filter and Micro Cloth Filter out at the same time to avoid ripping the Intercept Micro Filter, especially if it is full (Figure B).

Install an Intercept Micro Filter inside the Micro Cloth Filter.

3. Once a month (or more often if necessary) hand or machine wash the Micro Cloth filter and let it AIR DRY. (Do not put it in the dryer.)

4. Once a week (or more often if needed) clean the Dome Filter, located inside the vacuum underneath the Intercept Micro and Cloth filters (Figures C).

a. Pull the top piece of the Dome Filter off and remove the foam media (Figure D). Shake it out, rinse it, and let it air dry thoroughly.

b. Before the next use, return the foam media to the Dome Filter. Replace with new foam media if necessary.

c. Firmly snap the top piece of the dome filter into place.

NOTE: If using a high filtration disc in place of the foam media, check it every two to three weeks. When the disc becomes discolored, replace with new disc. The life of the high filtration disc will depend greatly on the use and care of the Intercept Micro Filter and Micro Cloth filter.

LIMITEd WARRANTYThis limited warranty applies to ProTeam, Inc. commercial Backpack Vacuums and Canis-ter Vacuums (collectively, the “Backpacks and/or Canisters”): If you have any questions or need assistance regarding the warranty of your product, please call ProTeam Customer Service department at (866) 888-2168 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Moun-tain Time.Backpacks and Canisters - Limited Warranty ProTeam, Inc., located at 12438 W. Bridger Street, Boise, Idaho 83713 (“ProTeam”) warrants to the original purchaser only (“you”) subject to the exclusions described below, that the Back-pack and Canister component parts, motors, and labor thereon listed below will be free from defects in material and workmanship beginning on the original date of purchase and continu-ing for the period set forth below (each a “Warranty Period”). This limited warranty terminates if the original purchaser transfers the Backpack or Canister to any other person or entity.Parts Warranties - Backpacks and Canisters

• Molded body parts on Super HalfVac Pro - 3 years.• Molded body parts on all other Backpacks and Canisters - Expected lifetime of the

Backpack or Canister.• The GoFree Pro battery pack is warranted for (1) year prorated and charger is war-

ranted for (1) year.• The GoCartVac batteries are warranted for (6) months and charger is warranted for

(1) year. • All other component parts (excluding the motor) on all Backpacks and Canisters - 3

years.Motor Warranty - Super HalfVac Pro

• 1 yearMotor Warranty - Backpacks (other than Super HalfVac Pro) and Canisters

• 3 years or 1400 hours, whichever comes first. Motor warranty is subject to your compli-ance with the following carbon brush replacement and maintenance schedule. Proof of compliance may be required.

1st change – after the first 800 hours of operation2nd change – after the next 400 hours of operation3rd change – after the next 200 hours of operation

What is Not Covered - Warranty Exclusions This limited warranty does not extend to and expressly excludes:

• Normal wear and tear and/or replacement attachments or accessories, including, without limitation, extension cords, hoses, filters, switches, carbon motor brushes and other at-tachments to the Backpacks.

• Damage or burnout of the Backpack or Canister motor resulting from failure to clear a blockage occurring during the normal course of use.

• Loss or damage to the Backpack or Canister resulting from conditions beyond ProTe-am’s control including without limitation, misuse, accident, abuse, neglect, negligence (other than ProTeam’s), overuse beyond intended capacity, or unauthorized modifica-tion or alteration.

• Loss or damage to the Backpack or Canister resulting from failure to follow the re-quired maintenance schedule, or failure to use the Backpack or canister in accordance with ProTeam’s written instructions, guidelines or the terms of its Owner’s Manual.

What We Will Do to Correct ProblemsIf a claim made during the Warranty Period is covered under this limited warranty, Pro-Team or your local ProTeam authorized dealer will, at ProTeam’s sole option, (a) repair the defective portion of the Backpack or Canister or (b) replace the entire Backpack or Canister. THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR BREACH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL BE LIMITED TO REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE BACKPACK OR CANISTER.No Other Express Warranty AppliesTHE LIMITED WARRANTIES PROVIDED ABOVE ARE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRAN-TIES PROVIDED BY PROTEAM TO THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER, AND ARE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WRITTEN OR ORAL, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WHETHER ARISING BY OPERATION OF LAW OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WHETHER OR NOT THE PURPOSE HAS BEEN DISCLOSED AND WHETHER OR NOT THE BACKPACK OR CANISTER HAS BEEN SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED OR MANUFACTURED FOR YOUR USE OR PURPOSE. No employee, agent, dealer, or other person is authorized to alter this limited warranty or make any other warranty on behalf of ProTeam. The terms of this limited warranty shall not be modified by ProTeam, the original owner, or their respective successors or assigns.

LIMITEd WARRANTYHow to Notify UsIf you discover that your Backpack or Canister has a defect that you believe is covered by this limited warranty, you must notify ProTeam or the ProTeam authorized dealer who sold you the Backpack or Canister within the applicable Warranty Period. You may contact ProTeam Customer Service department at (866) 888-2168 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time or at any time via the fax number or the email address listed in your Owner’s Manual or on our website. In order for a warranty claim to be pro-cessed as quickly as possible, we suggest that you complete the “Registration Card” made available to you on the ProTeam website at www.pro-team.com. Repair and Replacement ProceduresThe battery pack is not field serviceable and must receive special handling instructions for shipping. Contact ProTeam Customer Service at 866.888.2168 for shipping instructions and service options.A Return Authorization Number (RAN) must be issued prior to shipping a Backpack or Canister. Please call the Customer Service department number above or visit the ProTeam website to request a RAN. If you have not submitted a completed Registration Card, you must include a dated, written proof-of-purchase and a statement explaining the nature of the malfunction with the RAN. If there is no local ProTeam authorized dealer, our Custom-er Service department will give you the name and address of the nearest field service rep-resentative or will provide you with the RAN and instructions for shipping your Backpack or Canister to the ProTeam repair facility. ProTeam or your local ProTeam authorized dealer will determine whether your claim is covered by this limited warranty, subject to the limitations or exclusions described in this limited warranty, or has exceeded the applicable Warranty Period. Your local ProTeam authorized dealer will repair your Backpack or Canis-ter, ship your Backpack or Canister to an authorized repair facility, or contact ProTeam for a replacement. The decision to replace your Backpack or Canister is at the sole discretion of ProTeam. Unauthorized repairs or modifications made to the Backpack or Canister, or use of any parts in the Backpack or Canister other than genuine ProTeam parts, will nullify this limited warranty. Coverage under this limited warranty is conditioned at all times upon the original purchaser’s compliance with these required notification and repair procedures.Limitation of LiabilityTO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PROTEAM BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING ANY ECONOMIC LOSS, WHETHER RESULTING FROM NONPERFORMANCE, USE, MISUSE OR INABILITY TO USE THE BACKPACK OR CANISTER OR PROTEAM’S NEGLIGENCE. SELLER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES CAUSED BY DELAY IN PERFORMANCE AND IN NO EVENT, REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF THE CLAIM OR CAUSE OF ACTION (WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, INFRINGEMENT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OTHER TORT OR OTHERWISE), SHALL PROTEAM'S LIABILITY TO BUYER AND/OR ITS CUSTOMERS EXCEED THE PRICE PAID BY THE ORIGINAL OWNER FOR THE BACKPACK OR CANISTER. The term "consequential damages" shall include, but not be limited to, loss of anticipated profits, business interruption, loss of use or revenue, cost of capital or loss or damage to property or equipment.Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential dam-ages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State.This limited warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, U.S.A., without regard to conflicts of law provisions.
