The flexibility, simplicity and robustness of the proven universal InstaTrans Oxygen Transmitter is carried on to the next-generation Model InstaTrans-XD. The new platform continues to offer the benefits of the legacy transmitter, including:
• 2-wiretransmitterformfactor• Traceorpercentoxygenanalysis–settablerangingfrom0-10ppmto0-25%
• Insta-trace capability for fast recovery from newsensor installation (optional)
• AcceptsmostTeledyneindustrialmicro-fuelcells• Intrinsically safedesign forhazardousareaornon-hazardousinstallations
The InstaTrans-XD utilizes a design to meet therequirements of NEMA-4 (IP-66) levels of ingressprotectionwithwetted316SScellcompartmentbodyandfittings. The transmitter head contains the electronics
and user display interface including 4-button design toaccess functions.
A fully upgraded microprocessor-based platform givestheInstatrans-XDamorecompact,singlePCBdesigntosimplify maintenance and reduce shelf spares. Unlike the legacy model with fixed ranges, the new interface allows for a fully settable single range from 0-10 ppm to 0-25%. New advanced functions are also availableas standard including 4-20mA output adjustment tooptimize signal output and cold boot capability as abeneficial troubleshooting tool.
The InstaTrans-XD incorporates intrinsically safe design tomeetATEXZone0/1/2andFM/FMcClassIDiv1approvals when used with select intrinsic safety barriers. Additionally,theCSAapprovalextendstoClassIDiv2asa non-incendive devicewithout the use of barriers. FMapproval is pending at this time.
