    S A L E OF G O V E R N M E N T O W N E D COMMODITIES .

    The selling prices by Government of the following commodities to merchants holding licences to deal in wholesale in these commodities issued under the Eood and Essential Commodities (Control) Ordinance have been revised as under to take effect on sales made on and after 13th November, 1941, until further notice. These commodities will be sold ex store or with freight paid to all Railways Stations only, at the following prices :—

    AUSTRALIAN WHEAT

    per metric ton gross weight ¿6P.15.000 mils

    AUSTRALIAN AND CANADIAN FLOUR

    per metric ton gross weight ¿GP.21.000 mils

    SUGAR (JAVA OR EGYPTIAN GRANULATED)

    per metric ton gross weight £P.29.500 mils.

    Wholesale dealers and manufacturers should apply for supplies of the above commodities-to the Government i\gents,.Messrs. Steel Bros, and Co. L td . , P .O.B. 1412, Haifa, sending their applications through the Deputy Controller of Supplies of their district who will endorse their application with his recommendation to supply whatever quantity he considers advisable.

    Payment should be made to the Government Agents by cash, bank transfer or cheque certified by Barclays Bank (D .C & O.), Ottoman Bank Ltd . , The Anglo-Palestine Bank Ltd . or the Holland Bank Union as good for payment.

    Al l sales of Australian and Canadian Flour and Sugar made to wholesale dealers are under the condition that these commodities are resold to retail dealers by weight at prices not exceeding the following :—

    AUSTRALIAN FLOUR

    per metric ton gross weight in bags of approx. 68 kilos 8־P.22.000 mils

    CANADIAN FLOUR

    per metric ton gross weight in bags of approx. 63.5 kilos s8P.22.000 mils

    SUGAR GRANULATED

    basis per 100 kgs. gross weight i8P.3.125 mils.

    Any wholesale merchants selling above these prices will not only be liable to be prosecuted for a contravention of the prevailing Law but be struck off the list of merchants authorised to purchase Government commodities.

    The Controller of Supplies may in his complete discretion sell or withhold from sale, increase or reduce the price of any of the above mentioned commodities without prior notice.

    Retail dealers are warned not to purchase at prices exceeding those listed above and are requested to report to their District Deputy Controller of Supplies if they are unable to obtain supplies from wholesale dealers at or below the above listed prices.

    NOTE :—The weight, quality and condition of all goods purchased are final at delivery and no claim whatsoever will be recognized after delivery.
