A generous portion of our students stepped up to harvest awards of recognition for academic effort and achievement. CIE awarded two of our students for being top in Kenya for 2016 IGCSE examinations. Ahmed Mohamed emerged the top CIE IGCSE Economics Candidate in while Sarah Mwaitete was top in O’ Level Swahili country wide. The students look forward to these moments of recognition with eager an- ticipation, as they strive individually not to ‘miss the train’, so to speak, the next time. The victors this time around were as follows;

Academic Awards Assembly for Half-Term 3 2016/2017

There was a wave of excitement at our opening assembly after the mid-term break on Monday, 19th June

On Wednesday 21st June the Year 9 Class assigned a Com-

munity Service Event. It kicked off after lunch when we start-

ed selling various food stuff and started our first event, which

was a dance-off. Thereafter we proceeded to our next end

main event, which was a paint balloon war. It was a fun ac-

tivity with an assortment of colours flying everywhere and

peoples’ previously white shirts completely changing ap-

pearance. It was successful and relaxing after exams and

the PTA walk earlier in the day. Christine Gichuhi
