Journey with Journalism

Since 2013 Uday has been publishing newpaper without fear

or favor. How was the journey? Uday himself notes…

Uday Jaman:

That was March, 2013. I don’t know why, but I thought about creating a

newspaper, which will serve our thoughts. We had organizations. I

wanted people to know about our work. So, I had decided to do it.

Firstly, the newspaper was hand-written. I had published just one copy

of it and the only reader was Shoroni Apu.. Then, I realize, we need to

go further. And we published wall-paper. People were enjoying the

paper.

2016, June 1. It was a remarkable day. For the first time, from hand-

written, the paper (Alor Jatri) turned into printed newspaper. The

feelings was great.

In this journey, I found many allies, well-wishers and readers. They

are our strength and for them, we are continuing. We are grateful to

them. Though, the journey wasn’t smooth. We faced different kind

problems. The main problem is man power. Then, the money. But this is

nothing, when we see, readers are reading our paper. Again, thank you

very much for being with us.

U: There is nothing to say.

It’s working.

POL:Working! But, how?

We don’t see its work!

POL: Then, i would say you

blind! When, you are not

trying to see something, it’s

impossible for us to give

you sight. Of course, about

that thing.. POL: You are talking like crazy. Why dont’we see your things? U: I don’t know why. But, i am telling you the truth. I saw it before. You guys are

allergetic about me since

the day when i took the

helm of Shanti Party. Alor

Jatri is always chasing after

me. Now, this paper starts.

POL: We can’t understand

what you are saying. Let’s

skip it. What type of work

Shanti Party is doing now a

days?

U: It is working...

POL: What type of work?

U: Uh, we are working in

secret.

POL: We thought, Shanti

Party is a non -profit organization for developing the areas. But, now is it a spy organization or something? U: It’s still a non-profit organization. I don’t know, who the idiot send you here. POL: Easy. I know, you are embarrassed. So, you guys are working in secret. When will you do the real work? U: I don’t think, cleaning the road is a real work. It was funny. POL: So, you won’t clean the road? U: Did I say so? POL: You are saying like this. Smell you later, bye.

full of dust. The boys

are playing in that. It

causes different kind

of diseases.

The ground needs to

be cleaned regularly.

We talked with some

players. They said to

us that the ground is

unsuited for playing

any kind of games due

to dust. But we are

defying the dust

because we have no

other option. So, sad!

Jim said to us, The

dust is the main

problem. We are trying

to solve this by

watering the ground.

Reported by special correspondent After a long time, we are

going to see a big match

with prize today. The

title sponsor of the

tradition at this area is

old. The guys

organized it first at the

time of 2011 Cricket

world cup. Uday

remembered that

match- that match was

fabulous. The most

beautiful match of my

life. Then I have played

a lot of this type of

matches, but that was

the best. So, we are expecting a great match and great event. The media partner of this match is Alor Jatri. We will also

cover the match.

The organizers are

hopeful. This will give

the residents joy. We are

also hopeful. May be, it
