Puji dan syukur kehadirat Tuhan Yang Maha Esa atas segala rahmat dan penyertaan
yang telah diberikan sehingga skripsi ini dapat terselesaikan dengan baik. Segala yang
telah penulis capai tidak terlepas dari bantuan, dorongan semangat, doa, dan dukungan

ABSTRACT
Hydroponics is a way of farming without using soil as a medium for plant
growing. Nowadays there are various models of hydroponic planting using various kinds
of planting medium. In households with dense of routines it becomes an obstacle to
getting and catering the needs of organic lettuce. So this thesis realized a hydroponic
system with multilevel method.
Broadly speaking, the designed tool consists of planting medium with length 33
cm, width 21,5cm and height 35 cm and connect with water tank with length 18,5cm,
width 13cm, and height 11,5cm and a box with length 8cm, width 4,7cm and height
11,8cm. All processes which affect on lettuce growth and development are water level
which settings with ultrasonic sensor, water filling, nutrient feeding, stirring, and spraying
with temperature sensor as a reference are controlled by arduino mega 2560 as a data
processing center.
From the tests performed, ultrasonic sensor tests which is compared with ruler has
0.6cm largest difference. For temperature sensor tests which is compared with mercury
thermometer has 1°C largest difference. And for planting 24 lettuce test, all of lettuce can
grow and evolve until ready to be harvested.
