1. PENGELUARAN

Jumlah pengeluaran getah asli pada September

2012 dicatat sebanyak 72,846 tan metrik, naik

785 tan metrik (+1.1%) dari bulan lepas. Walau

bagaimanapun, pengeluaran getah asli turun

4,882 tan metrik (-6.3%) berbanding September

2011. Sektor kebun kecil adalah pengeluar

getah asli Malaysia yang terbesar (92.8%)

berbanding sektor estet (7.2%). Negeri

Sembilan mendahului negeri lain dalam

pengeluaran getah asli di estet (20.7%), diikuti

oleh Kedah (17.9%) dan Perak (17.6%) (Jadual

14).

MONTHLY RUBBER STATISTICSMALAYSIA, SEPTEMBER 2012#

1. PRODUCTION

The total production of natural rubber (NR) in

September 2012 was recorded at 72,846

tonnes, went up by 785 tonnes (+1.1%) from the

previous month. However, production of natural

rubber (NR) reduced by 4,882 tonnes (-6.3%)

as compared to September 2011. The

smallholdings sector is the biggest contributor of

Malaysia’s NR (92.8%) compared to the estates

sector (7.2%). Negeri Sembilan is ahead of

other states in production of NR on estates

(20.7%), followed by Kedah (17.9%) and Perak

(17.6%) (Table 14).

2. EKSPORT

Pada September 2012, sebanyak 60,337 tan

metrik getah asli telah dieksport. Perbandingan

bulan atas bulan dan tahun atas tahun

menunjukkan eksport masing-masing jatuh

2,121 tan metrik (-3.4%) dan 18,918 tan metrik

(-23.9%). Getah Mutu Malaysia (G.M.M.)

menyumbang 95.3 peratus dari jumlah eksport

getah asli pada bulan ini dengan 58.2 peratus

terdiri dari G.M.M. 20.

Getah asli dieksport terutamanya ke Rep.

Rakyat China (42.6%), diikuti oleh Rep.

Persekutuan Jerman (16.2%), Rep. Islam Iran

(5.6%), Rep. Korea (4.1%), Amerika Syarikat

(3.7%) dan Portugal (2.7%) manakala Perancis,

Afrika Selatan, Belgium serta Brazil masing-

masing 1.8 peratus. Jumlah eksport ke negara-

negara tersebut merangkumi 82.1 peratus

daripada keseluruhan eksport getah asli.

2. EXPORTS

In September 2012, a total of 60,337 tonnes of

NR was exported. Month-on-month and

year-on-year comparisons shows exports

dropped 2,121 tonnes (-3.4%) and 18,918

tonnes (-23.9%) respectively. Standard

Malaysian Rubber (S.M.R.) contributed 95.3 per

cent of the total NR exports this month with 58.2

per cent comprised of S.M.R. 20 .

NR was mainly exported to the People’s Rep. of

China (42.6%), followed by Federal Rep. of

Germany (16.2%), Islamic Rep. of Iran (5.6%),

Rep. of Korea (4.1%), U.S.A. (3.7%) and

Portugal (2.7%) whereas France, South Africa,

Belgium and Brazil 1.8 per cent respectively.

The total exports to these countries accounted

for 82.1 per cent of the overall NR exports.

3. IMPORT

Pada September 2012, Malaysia mengimport

sebanyak 79,968 tan metrik getah asli,

meningkat 2,505 tan metrik (+3.2%) berbanding

Ogos 2012 dan 15,575 tan metrik (+24.2%)

berbanding September 2011. Getah

Berpiawaian dan lateks pekat merupakan jenis

getah asli yang utama diimport dengan masing-

masing 48.6 peratus dan 34.6 peratus.

Getah asli diimport terutamanya dari Thailandsebanyak 48.8 peratus and Viet Nam 26.8

peratus. Kedua-dua negara tersebut

merangkumi 75.6 peratus daripada keseluruhanimport getah asli pada September 2012.

3. IMPORTS

In September 2012, Malaysia imported a total of

79,968 tonnes of NR, an increase of 2,505

tonnes (+3.2%) as compared to August 2012

and 15,575 tonnes (+24.2%) as compared to

September 2011. Standard Rubber and latex

concentrate was the main type of NR imported

at 48.6 per cent and 34.6 per cent respectively.

NR was imported mainly from Thailand at 48.8

per cent and Viet Nam 26.8 per cent. These twocountries accounted for 75.6 per cent of the

total NR imports in September 2012.

4. PENGGUNAAN DOMESTIK

Jumlah penggunaan domestik getah asli pada

September 2012 bertambah 1,779 tan metrik

(+5.0%) dari Ogos 2012 dengan catatan

sebanyak 37,063 tan metrik. Penggunaan

domestik getah asli juga meningkat 4,429 tan

metrik (+13.6%) apabila dibanding dengan

setahun yang lepas.

Industri sarung tangan getah merupakan

pengguna getah asli terbesar sebanyak 25,514

tan metrik (68.8%), dikuti benang getah (8.8%)

dan tayar & tiub (7.0%). Ketiga-tiga industri ini

merangkumi lebih separuh dari keseluruhan

penggunaan getah asli negara dengan jumlah

sebanyak 31,381 tan metrik (84.6%).

4. DOMESTIC CONSUMPTION

The total domestic consumption of NR in

September 2012, increased by 1,779 tonnes

(+5.0%) from August 2012 recording at 37,063

tonnes. Domestic consumption also rose by

4,429 tonnes (+13.6%) when compared to a

year ago.

The rubber gloves industry was the highest

consuming industry of NR at 25,514 tonnes

(68.8%), followed by rubber thread (8.8%) and

tyre & tubes (7.0%). These three industries

consumed more than half of the overall

domestic consumption in the country with a total

of 31,381 tonnes (84.6%) .

5. STOK

Pada akhir September 2012, paras stok getah

asli dicatat sebanyak 133,960 tan metrik,

meningkat 4,435 tan metrik (+3.4%) berbanding

bulan lepas. Namun begitu, paras stok getah

asli turun sebanyak 2,837 tan metrik (-2.1%)

apabila dibanding dengan paras stok setahun

yang lepas.

5. STOCKS

At the end of September 2012, the level of NR

stocks was recorded at 133,960 tonnes, rose by

4,435 tonnes (+3.4%) as compared to the

previous month. Nevertheless, the level of NR

stocks decreased by 2,837 tonnes (-2.1%)

when compared to the level of stocks a year

ago.

6. HARGA PURATA BULANANSEKILOGRAM (Sebut Harga Pada WaktuTengah Hari - “F.O.B.”)

Pada September 2012, harga purata bulanan

bagi lateks pekat dicatat sebanyak 586.71 sen

sekilogram, naik 19.26 sen (+3.4%) apabila

dibanding dengan Ogos 2012. Namun begitu,

harga lateks pekat jatuh dari setahun yang

lepas sebanyak 268.19 sen (-31.4%).

Harga purata bulanan bagi G.M.M. 20 pula

direkod sebanyak 829.13 sen sekilogram,

bertambah 29.93 sen (+3.7%) apabila dibanding

bulan atas bulan tetapi turun 535.27 sen

(-39.2%) bagi tahun atas tahun.

6. AVERAGE MONTHLY PRICE PERKILOGRAMME (Noon Quotations - F.O.B.)

In September 2012, the average monthly price

of latex concentrate was recorded at 586.71 sen

per kilogramme, rose by 19.26 sen (+3.4%)

when compared to August 2012. Nevertheless,

average price of latex concentrate dropped from

a year ago at 268.19 sen (-31.4%).

The average monthly price of G.M.M. 20 was

recorded at 829.13 sen per kilogramme,

increased by 29.93 sen (+3.7%) when

compared to month-on-month but dropped

535.27 sen (-39.2%) for year-on-year.

7. GUNA TENAGA

Pada akhir September 2012, seramai 12,307

orang diambil bekerja di estet yang mana

seramai 12,303 orang adalah pekerja bergaji

dengan bayaran gaji dan upah berjumlah

RM14.8 juta. Bilangan pekerja bergaji susut 1.3

peratus dari Ogos 2012 tetapi naik 12.3 peratus

dari September 2011. Pecahan gaji & upah

yang dibayar mengikut katogeri pekerja bergaji

adalah seperti di Carta 11.

7. EMPLOYMENT

At the end of September 2012, a total of 12,307

persons were engaged in the rubber estates

where 12,303 persons were paid employees

with salaries and wages paid amounting to

RM14.8 million. The number of paid employees

reduced by 1.3 per cent from August 2012 but

increased by 12.3 per cent from September

2011. The breakdown of salaries & wages by

categories of paid employees is as in Chart 11.

8. PRODUKTIVITI

Produktiviti pengeluaran getah asli di estet

dicatat sebanyak 124.8 kilogram sehektar pada

September 2012, naik 1.8 kilogram sehektar

(+1.5%) dari bulan lepas dan 7.3 kilogram

sehektar (+6.2%) dari setahun lepas.

8. PRODUCTIVITY

The productivity of NR production on estates

was recorded at 124.8 kilogramme per hectare

in September 2012, increased by 1.8

kilogramme per hectare (+1.5%) from the

previous month and 7.3 kilogramme per hectare

(+6.2%) from the previous year.

Nota

1. Pengenalan

1.1 Mulai Januari 2004, laporan Perangkaan Getah Bulanan Malaysia diterbitberdasarkan format baru termasuk juga liputan yang terkini. Pendekatanbaru yang diguna pakai adalah berdasarkan data yang diperolehdaripada Banci Estet Getah (RE), Pemproses Getah (RP) dan PenggunaGetah (RC).

1.2 Maklumat tambahan di dalam penerbitan ini termasuk stok getahmengikut pemilikan, harga mengikut kategori getah dan produktiviti estetgetah di Malaysia.

2. Kajian Data Pengeluaran Getah, 2000-2003

2.1 Pada pertengahan tahun 2003, Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia (JPM)bersama-sama dengan Lembaga Getah Malaysia (LGM) telahmengadakan perbincangan untuk menambahbaik kaedah pengumpulandata bagi pengeluaran getah asli.

2.2 Kajian telah dijalankan dengan menggunakan data daripada borang soalselidik RD 1A (Banci Peniaga Getah) dengan memberi tumpuan kepada89 buah kilang memproses getah. Borang soal selidik telah dihantarkepada 89 buah kilang memproses tersebut untuk mendapatkanmaklumat berkenaan dengan pembelian getah mentah tempatan yangsebenar.

2.3 Memandangkan hasil yang diperoleh adalah amat positif, mulai tahun2004, borang soal selidik baru iaitu Banci Pemproses Getah (RP) telahdiperkenalkan bagi menggantikan Banci Peniaga Getah (RD 1A). Liputanrangka banci telah berkurang daripada sejumlah 1,961 peniaga getahkepada hanya 91 pemproses getah sahaja. Borang Banci Estet GetahBulanan (RM) dan Banci Pengguna Getah (RC) juga turut diubahsuaimengikut perkembangan industri getah masa kini.

3. Penyediaan Data Dalam Perangkaan Getah Bulanan

3.1 Data Pengeluaran

Mulai Januari 2004, data pengeluaran getah diperoleh daripada borangBanci Pemproses Getah (RP). Penjanaan data pengeluaran tersebutdibuat dengan andaian bahawa semua getah mentah akan sampai kekilang proses untuk menghasilkan barangan separa siap.

3.2 Data Pengeluaran Mengikut Negeri

Dengan pengambilan data pengeluaran getah asli Malaysia dari kilang-kilang memproses getah, data-data pengeluaran mengikut negeri tidakdapat ditunjukkan. Ini disebabkan kilang-kilang yang di dalam liputanbanci, menerima/membeli getah mentah daripada negeri-negeri lain diluar tempat lokasi kilang tersebut berada. Dengan yang demikian, datayang diperoleh tidak dapat menggambarkan data pengeluaran baginegeri tersebut.

3.3 Penggunaan Domestik

Penggunaan domestik getah asli bagi tempoh 2000-2003 yangdipaparkan dalam penerbitan ini diambil daripada Penyiasatan PenggunaGetah yang dijalankan oleh LGM. Namun, mulai Januari 2004, datapenggunaan domestik tersebut diperoleh daripada soal selidik RC yangdilaksanakan oleh JPM.

3.4 Stok Akhir

Stok Akhir getah diambil daripada Estet Getah (RE) bagi stok getah yangterdapat di estet, Pemproses Getah (RP) bagi stok getah yang belum dansudah diproses dan Pengguna Getah (RC) bagi stok getah yang belumdigunakan untuk menghasilkan barangan siap.

3.5 Harga Getah

Mulai bulan Januari 2004, harga bagi GAB 1 tidak lagi di kumpul olehLGM. Namun penerbitan ini mempamerkan harga bagi setiap kategorigetah iaitu daripada getah mentah hingga ke getah separa siap.

3.6 Produktiviti Hasil Ditoreh

Mulai Januari 2004, data bagi produktiviti hasil ditoreh bagi estet getah diMalaysia telah dimasukkan dalam laporan ini. Maklumat tersebut dapatmemberikan gambaran produktiviti hasil ditoreh bagi bulan rujukan disamping produktiviti pekerja-pekerja estet di Malaysia. Produktiviti hasilditoreh dikira dengan membahagikan jumlah pengeluaran dengankeluasan ditoreh pada bulan rujukan.

1.1 Beginning January 2004, the report, Monthly Rubber Statistics Malaysia,is released based on a new format as well as an updated coverage. Thenew approach adopted was based on data obtained from the Census ofRubber Estates (RE), Rubber Processors (RP) and Rubber Consumers(RC).

1.2 Additional information in this publication includes stocks of rubber byownership, price by category of rubber and productivity of rubber estatesin Malaysia.

2. Study on Rubber Production Data, 2000 - 2003

2.1 In mid 2003, the Department of Statistics (DOS), Malaysia together withthe Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) held discussions to improve on themethods to collect data on production of natural rubber.

2.2 A study was conducted using data from the RD 1A (Census of RubberDealers) questionnaire with special attention focused on 89 rubberprocessing factories. A questionnaire was sent out to the 89 processingfactories to obtain information relating to the actual purchase of local rawrubber.

2.3 As the outcome of the study was very positive, beginning 2004, a newquestionnaire, namely Census of Rubber Processors (RP) wasintroduced to replace the Census of Rubber Dealers (RD 1A). Thecoverage of the census was reduced from a total of 1,961 rubber dealersto only 91 rubber processors. The questionnaires on the Monthly Censusof Rubber Estates (RM) and the Monthly Census of Rubber Consumers(RC) were also amended in accordance with the latest development inthe rubber industry.

3. Data Compilation for Monthly Rubber Statistics

3.1 Data on Production

Beginning January 2004, data on rubber production was derived from theRP questionnaire. It was made on the assumption that all raw rubberproduced locally will eventually reach the processing factories to beproduced into semi-finished goods.

3.2 Production Data by State

By compiling data on production of Malaysian natural rubber from therubber processing factories, data on production by state could not beshown. This is because the factories under the census coverage alsoreceived/bought raw rubber from other states outside the location of thefactories. As such the data compiled did not reflect production data of aparticular state.

3.3 Domestic Consumption

Domestic consumption of rubber for the period 2000-2003 presented inthis publication was obtained from the Rubber Consumers Surveyconducted by MRB. However, beginning January 2004, the data ondomestic consumption is derived from the RC questionnaire conducted byDOS.

3.4 Stocks of Rubber

Stocks of rubber was derived from Rubber Estates (RE) for stocks ofrubber in estates, Rubber Processors (RP) for stocks of rubber beforeand after process and Rubber Consumers (RC) for stocks of rubber notyet used to produce finished products.

3.5 Rubber Price

Beginning January 2004, the price for RSS 1 was not collected by theMRB. Nevertheless, the publication presents price for each category ofrubber, i.e. from raw rubber to semi-finished rubber.

3.6 Productivity on Yield Tapped

Beginning January 2004, data for productivity on yield tapped for rubberestates is included in this report. This information reflects the productivityof yield tapped for the reference month, together with the estate workers’productivity in Malaysia. The productivity on yield tapped is derived bydividing the total production by the total area tapped during the referencemonth.
