ในอดีต ถือเป็นประเพณี ว่าบ้านใดที่มีลูกชายอายุครบ 1 เดือนจะทำาการฉลองรับขวัญเดือนโดยการทำาอิ่วปึ่งแจกจ่ายให้แก่ญาติสนิท มิตร-สหาย ประเพณีนี้ยังคงสืบทอดมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน แต่ทุกวันนี้การรับขวัญเดือนโดยทำาอิ่วปึ่งแจกจ่ายจะทำาทั้งลูกชายและลูกสาว

It was a tradition to celebrate the son’s one month old by making “Ew Pueng” and offering them to closed relatives and friends. Up until present, this tradition has still been followed for a one-month old celebration of both sons and daughters.
