ADVANCED ENGINEERING
IN THE OFFSHORE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY
is a multidisciplinary program and it implies a
large cooperation between Marine Technology,
Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering.
The two-year Master of Science Program inOffshore Oil and Gas
Industry is designed to meet
the growing demand for skilled professionals in the
offshore industry.
The study program gives the candidates afoundation in
engineering design and basic
engineering subjects, regarding construction,
installation, operation and maintenance of
equipment, facilities, systems and equipment
specific to the offshore industry, both offshorestructures and
vessels serving the offshore industry.
The program prepares students for careers in theinternational
oil and gas industry and gives
knowledge in specific activities related to
maintenance and repair in the industry offshoreplatforms on
ships and marine structures.

Welcome to the first Offshore Oil and GasEngineering Master of
Science Program, offered by
Constanta Maritime University, the future South East
Europes oil and gas capital!Constanta Maritime University has
created a
relevant 21st-century energy engineering education,consisting of
classroom lectures and hands-on softwarelessons for renewable
energy. Our program is the next step
in an international outreach effort resulting in Constanta
Maritime University emerging as the Energy University.
Today, Constanta Maritime University offers a newseamless
curriculum comprised of offshore engineering.
Offshore oil and gas reserves are increasinglyimportant sources
of energy, as well as a significant driver
of the international economy. There are billions of barrels
of oil and trillions of cubic feet of natural gas predicted
tolie within waters in the Black Sea alone, including off the
coast of Romania.
Our graduate Offshore Oil and Gas Engineering
Master of Science Program formalizes an engineeringscience-based
education in offshore engineering. Thecurriculum provides the
scientific and technical skillsnecessary to create the first
generation of trained offshoreand subsea engineering
specialists.

Who should apply?Practicing engineers and recent bachelor's
degree holders in any engineering discipline.However, applicants
with engineering degrees in
mechanical, civil, marine, manufacturing,
production, chemical process, mechatronics, etc.,
with a strong focus on technology, engineering and
management of physical assets (machines,
equipment, processes, production plants, etc.) andtechnical
production processes will be given
preference. Also candidates with relevant industrial
experience may be given preference.This program also provides an
excellent basis
and preliminary intellectual skills training on thegradual
approach of research, development and
innovation claimed by further studies in the third
cycle - doctoral current profession for those whowish to pursue
a career in education or research or
in the offshore industry.
The program ensures professionalization in
marine engineering and navigation throughspecialized engineering
skills and management
aimed mainly at the offshore industry - marine
structures, specialized ships, machinery,
