National Water Resources Plan and

CONPES Document

The Policy has a 12-year horizon and will be implemented through anaction plan called National Water Resources Plan, which will deve-lop each one of the strategic action lines, defining specific programsand projects to be implemented in the short-term (2014), middle-term(2018), and long-term (2022), which has specific goals, responsibleand budget. The National Water Resources Plan formulation has to bethe result of a concerted process into which it would be taken intoaccount the regional characteristics and priorities, but considering thatits deliverables must to contribute to the Integrated Water ResourcesManagement Policy objectives and national goals.Also, to help Policy implementation and to comply with the 2006 2010 National Development Plan, it will be issued a CONPES documenton Water Resources Policy with a sector approach, in consideration to

water strategic value for the country economic activities development.
