PERFILAs a professional, I think design is not only a degree, it is also a way to act, and to think. I feel really passionate for what I do, and being able to study design has shown me that it is not only in the objects that surround us, in the clothes we wear, or in the images we see, it is also in the interactions we create, and it is visible in the way people react and behave, it is a media of communication, and a way to translate our hopes and thoughts. We are everyday designing our own lives.

I love seeing how ideas can grow, and how they become real; I also enjoy participating in a group of creation that listens to dierent voices, as well as knowing people and with them meeting new ways to think. I consider myself a committed person and I like taking action, but through time I have also realized that “problems” come with dierent perspectives, and that sometimes there is more than one denitive answer, and solutions are in fact dierent options.

I also like being part of dierent instances of a project from working in an oce, to creating with a team, from talking to customers and suppliers, to working in the eld; what I like the most is seeing a good idea come to life and being part of the whole process, experimenting and creating as a way not only to make a better project, but to grow as a person.I see design as a way to view things with a dierent perspective, as a way to make a change.

CTODesigned thinking in the relax and comfort of the user.

MAJUKA´S design alternative makes a new spatial consideration and allows the appropriation by the user, generating more than one possibil-ity when you sit down, be it from the side, front or even diagonally, the user is the one who makes the decision of his comfort. The use of voids within the structure, experimenting with the forms and the combination of the materials makes possible to establish sets of opposing interaction between the concepts of comfort and novelty design.

One of the main objectives during the design was to reduce the number of industrial processes for the manufacture, only three bends are required in the tube, and three solder joints for a conjugation between intended and desired shape. Based in postural studies and ergonomical parameters the number of possible positions and comfort use was decided. The game of opposites, allowed specic and exible interaction between the materials and the interaction from one to another, result-ing in a structure capable of transmitting mobility, yet versatile forms.

CTOThe “Void Chair”, is a new approach from the aesthetics of cardboard

furniture, instead of using the paradigmatic corners that gives strength to the piece, folds are used through all the chair supporting the weight and movements of the user. Additionally the packaging aesthetics employed in the cardboard boxes like the traditional "broken glass shape" followed by the word that says "Fragile" enriches the folds, images and games between positive and negative shapes surround the chair. The “Void Chair” is made from a single surface that through folds, becomes a useful volume.

The area used for the support of the chair is based on building a secure poligonal base, but at the same time the poligonal shape allows the development of an aesthetic that breaks the orthogonal and monolithic shapes suggested in a simple cardboard shape. The aim of having as a support surface and folding areas two triangular based pyramids, visually removes the chair from the ground, making that the visual concept looks back on into the lightness.

CTOBased on the concepts of aromatherapy, and in the constant need to

achieve a state of relaxation that allows the disconnection of the daily stress and the chaotic modern lifestyle, the Artemis series is proposed as a group of personal care products. The product line consists of four sub_items all of them according to the user's need, (invigorating, stimulating, relaxing, and refreshing) to each one of these sub_items corresponds one of the four elements of nature.

Being aware of the consumer as a changing individual, the option of combining the products according to the preferences of each user is proposed, and to each of the four products a special package is provided enhancing the features of it.The nozzles and tops of each Artemis packing allow the sensations produced by the interaction with the products evoke a spa, making personal care activity, a completely innovative and satisfying time.

CTOThe -Natura- tableware is inspired by the works of the designer Luigi

Colani, in every piece are embodied its main concepts, including organic forms, the absence of straight lines and the recurring sinuous lines.Natura has been designed to be used at breakfast time, thus achieving a direct and quiet relation with the user, they is no interference (fork, spoons, knives) and they are not needed, it is proposed to make the rst meal of the day a conscious process of nutrition and relax time with our natural surroundings.

The white color is present in the ve ceramic pieces that composes the set and it was used with the aim of highlighting the sensory qualities of the food.Organic forms of the set refer to the movements of birds and aquatic animals, and the lines and waves present in the ceramic tiles are used to emphasize the gesture of human's own approach to the food.

The project's main objective was to use the Line Design to highlight the work of the architect T. G. Rietveld and its design the Red and Blue chair. This design consists of a new design of the Red and Blue chair, icon of the neoplastism movement, and an exhibition stand based on the aesthetic principles of the movement.Concepts such as practicality, modularity and exclusivity are recurring throughout thefurniture and the generated space. It eectively evokes the artistic and philosophical conception raised during the decade of the 1920-1930's by the De Stijl art movement, and the use of simplied shapes and lightness of its structure generate a set of surfaces and lines in a spatial dynamism.

EXCERPT FROM THE -EL ESPECTADOR NEWSPAPER September 20 / 2012

http://www.elespectador.com/entretenimiento/arteygente/articulo-376086-mambo-viajero-exposicion-itinerante-mejor-del-arte-mode

For the rst time in its history, the Art Museum of Bogotá (MAMBO) takes his private collection in order to make a traveling exhibition that begins in Boyacá, Cundinamarca and Santander. Thus, with a distance of over 900 kilometers, 58 reproductions of works are taken out of the headquarters located in the center of Bogota in order to bring the public who does not reside in the capital to meet with great exponents of modern art: Colombian Fernando Botero Juan Antonio Roda, David Manzur, Carlos Jacanamijoy, among other Colombian artists. So following the phrase French lmmaker Robert Bretton "no art without trans-formation", Mambo Viajero devised traveler display made with reproductions of the most important works from the museum's collection and aims to explore points of the country that do not have direct access to art, recognizing that this was no longer the privilege of a few to become a collective right. The rst tour begins in Bogotá, exactly at the Gran Estacion Mall, where the exhibition will be until next September 22. The container, in addition to shifting the works, becomes a night cinema, projecting lms such as the "Colombian Art History".In addition, during the stay of the container in each municipality, three experts from the Museum Guides oer art appreciation workshops for schoolchildren to enable fun and educational approach to the exhibition.

The main objective of this Project is to give a new value to the public spaces in the city of Bogotá through articial lighting and the interaction between people. The interactivity and the articial light become the main tools for providing new experiences for citizens; experiences in which people can create emotional connections, remember what the concept of neighborhood was (sharing, talking, meeting, play games), and enjoy sharing in community in a way that allows them to reect about the space they use and live in.

The -experience design- from the industrial design approach is relevant because it extent the shapes and the way in which citizens interact with their space, bringing reections on people and their relationship with their environment. In this case the used element was the light and its dierent characteristics, its impact on the emotional, physical, and psycological perception and the relevant use of more ecient technologies which will make a better interaction with the user and his approach to a more humanized and modern city.

Around June 2012 I started to work in my thesis to develop a project called -Seeds of Light- one of the objectives was to work with articial light as the main resource for a design, to be used in the public spaces in Bogotá city creating a sense of belonging throughout an interactive experience, developing ownership among the participants.

Seeds of Light project was produced with the help of the Arts Faculty of the National University of Colombia and it took place in a neighbourhood called Villa Inés located in the south-west of the city during a period of 10 nights. The idea of the

project was to work with light as a metaphor of a plant, by designing a series of objects made of dierent materials that reacted to its surround-ings and could be placed outdoors. During the rst and second night as soon as it was dark we used LED technology to hung -the seeds- (small LED bulbs attached to a battery and to a magnet covered with translucent paper) in front of the gates of the neighbourhood houses and in the main park, we left them to be found by the neighbours; those seeds carried an invitation to the inhabitants of the zone as a symbol of hope.

On the third night the seeds had grown into blossoms: a new object was added to the space and by the following nights the seeds had transformed into ower shaped light lamps which reacted to the sounds and voices of the people, the symbol of the plant had grown into a tree and its growing was also followed by an increase number of people who visited and recognize the park as their own, the design had become an experience that was shared by the commu-nity, an event that motivated children to ask their parents to go outside with them to play with the light.

On the last night the owers were accompa-nied by a large stem of light which was located in the centre of the park. People were invited to place the seed they had found outside their houses and placed them into to the stem, the seed had become the “fruit of the plant”, and the owered stem would remain in the park as a symbol of the collective construction of the neighbour-hood.

The materialization of this project showed me that the objects created were not the nal purpose of the design, that they were only a medium creating a bond between the community and their city.
