‘To much pictures’poster series, A2

This series of posters is about the amount of photos we produce wherever we go to. It becomes a list of pictures on our computer we seldom look at again. For that it’s a claim to look around with your own eyes again and enjoy the images of your memory.

‘Encyclopedia of the visual perception’printed on coated paper, A3 format

For ‘Publication’ we had to collect as much information as possible about a subject of our own interest to make an encyclopedia. The one I made talks about how human beings and other animals see the world differently on a visual level. I selected some photographs of my own environment and addepted them the way the animal would per-ceive them. The bottom line gives some scientific specifications.

‘False Friends’left: A3 formatright: A1 format

The poster on the right lists a web of words in Dutch, German and English that look like there are the same, but they actually have different meanings.

The collection of photos on the left is about visual illusions. You get mirrored images that do not really exist or a sundrenched landscape with thunderstorm clouds in the back.

‘Dumpster Diving Community’Poster series, A2

This series of posters is part of the visual identity I created together with Jolien Deceuninck for the community of dumpster divers. Because these people are reacting against the waist of food and the to

big amount of food that is created every day, we decided to show this. The chaos makes it look like garbage, and the repititions refers to the shopping list and the over-load of food we buy every day.

‘Dark and Stormy’A4 format

This publication is based on the zine ‘Dark and Stormy’ created by Bart de Baets and Rustan Söderling. We were given the indesign file, so the focus on this issue was to create content. After collecting content, we had to edite it in our own interpretation of a ‘Dark and Stormy’. I collected images and headlines out of newspapers, but wrote my own stories related to their content.

‘171 cm / 156,5 cm : Ekkergem – Korenmarkt – Zuid’printed on uncoated paper, A3 format

This subject of my ‘Encyclopedia of the visual perception’ is related to my work in ‘Artist’s Book’. Therefor I made a publication with a friend who’s 15cm smaller then I am. We walked through Ghent and took the same pictures, but because the difference in height, the photo-graphs aren’t precisely the same. This discrepancy shows that everybody has got another way to look at the world around him or her.
