Advantages for the system operator - Up to 25% energy savings - The insulation thickness can be reduced for the entire system - Longer system service life due to reduced risk of corrosion - With cold-running pipelines, the vapour barrier in the pipe bearing zone remains undamaged - Reduction of mounting costs, as pipe clamps can be made from standard materials even at high temperatures 2. Advantages for the pipeline constructor - Pre-insulated pipe bearings are supplied complete as a modular system; - The pipe clamps and pipe bearings for all temperature ranges are made from one material; there is no risk of mistake identity between RSt 37-2 and 13CrMo 4 4, for example - The joints of the pipe bearings are outside and can be checked without difficulty 3. Advantages for the insulant fitter - No complex re-finishing work is required in the pipe bearing area - Connection of the insulation to the pre-insulated pipe bearing can be done perfectly and cleanly - Damage to the insulation in the pipe bearing area is prevented - especially penetration of moisture into the insulation of cold-running pipelines 4. Advantages for the enviroment - Conservation of resources which are in short supply - There is no sound transmission because pipe mounts are not attached directed to the pipeline but outside the insulation - The insulants used for pre-insulated pipe bearings are environmentally compatible - they contains neither CFC nor formaldehyde; non-fibrous insulants can be used for hot-running lines

Pre-insulated bearings: a solution to "delicate points"...

A difficult task: The bearing on the pipeline place technical demands, in practice it give some problems on thermal- and cold pipelines. By the traditionel bearing with pipe clamps directly mounted on the pipe will break the steam barrier, at which the protective casing and the insulation will not be tight. The solution are pre-insulated bearings - with pre-insulated bearings the pipesystem are homogeneous insulated - the insulation layer could be lessen and place can be saved at the plant or at the pipe bridge - an important argument in the chemical industry. - the pre-insultaed bearings has no direct contact with the pipe. It means that there will not be needed special material for the pipe clamps during mounting of the pre- insulated bearings. - corrosion attack has been eliminated, because there are no penetration on the protective casing or vapour barrier - a energy saving up to 25% - a easy and quick installation of the bearing, as well as a uncomplicated insulating - gives a great result both of appearance and operation of pipeline

'Building block system' for bearings By further development and standardizing the pre-fabricated components become a complete 'building block system' for pre-insulated bearings. A width sortiment from loose bearings and part base point are combined with 4 different insulating materials, which cover a width temperaturerange. Al parts are adjusted to another by which the system has been flexible to match the many demands.

This standardizing systems advantages is already shown in the planning process, special construction are no longer neccesary. At the installation place the mounting is considerably simplified. When installationtime is reduced, you save both costs and valueable time. And on this 'building block system' the deliverytime is shortend. Applications: - pre-insulated bearings for pipe systems from DN 25 to DN 1000 - thickness of insulation from 30 to 270 mm - cold running pipelines from –70°C to +120°C - hot running pipelines +20°C to +450°C Pre-insulated bearings can be supplied as following: - Sliding supports and attachment- Threaded components

Pre-insulated bearings are an investment with a short 'pay back time'!

AN example from FIW München For a pipeline DN 150, mean temperature 200°C, insulated with 60 mm mineral wool mat and different mounting suitable to below calculation, including a heat loos at 300 W. Provided that the pipeline is constantly operational, there are about 8750 hours per year, which is 2628 kWh/a plus the heat loos on the pipeline. That concludes a great loos of energy per year on the pipeline. Conclusion: A pipeline DN 150 is adjusted to TRR 100 and supported each 5,7 meter. A pipeline at 100 meters demands 18 bearings. With a operationaltime at only 5 years the gain will be about 75000,- unlike the conventional insulation!

Insulation and jacket are of equal lenght. Insulation is movable in the jacket.

Multilayer on demand

The number of layers of insulation Are to customer requirements. The thickness ”s” of the individual layers Is usually equal and should be at least 25 mm. The excess length ”t” is usually 50 mm each. On customer request, other dimensions are of course available.

Loads The calculation loads mentioned in this document were made with statically models under certain conditions and para-meters. All possible care is taken compliance and applicable technical regulations and applicable standards, guarantees are given against the loads for the static cases shown in the catalogue, these are approximate values. Liabilities for the particular application cannot be derived. Any unauthorized variations or changes would invalidate any warranty and gaurantee on our part. Materials The materials and characteristics are in accordance to the corresponding standards and should be used as the minimum requirement. For the characteri-stics and quality, Bernecker will only accept warranty in combination with an inspection on certificate 3.1. Special design For your individual requirements we also offer special pipe supports. Either as a variant production through the us of other: - material (e.g. P265GH, P275NL1) - coatings (e.g. Duplex) - diameter (e.g. RA-102-R) - lengths (e.g. GLY-200/324L500-RB3) - heights (e.g. GLY-175/324-RB3) or according to your specifications routines or static specification.

SI units (metric) The psysical quantities are stated in SI units as follows: - dimensions in mm - loads in kN - temperatures at 80°C - weights in kg if not stated otherwise. General tolerances The general tolerances are for lengths, angles, shape and location in accordance with ISO 2768-cl and 13920-1-C. Heat treament We can not hot form and heat treat components to order, e.g. stress-free annealing, normalizing of hardening of high temperature materials. On request we supply a diagram of the heat treatment and temperature curve of the heat treated components supplied. Corrosion protection and surface finishes - The corrosion protection of our compo-nents in accordance with DIN EN ISO 12944. - Hot-dip galvanized components are standard galvanized to DIN EN ISO 1461 or ASTM 123. - According to your needs and specifications we can also provide our components parts with the following surface treatment: Sanding, pickling, oiling, basic coating, painting or galvanic surface treatment. Prefabrication service supplied complete to site As a specialist manufacturer in the field of pipe supports we can fabricate all supports and ancillaries for you ready to install, complete with labeling to order. Pre-assembled components with hard stamped article-name can optimize the assembling process and allow time savings on site; however, it’s an additional service.

Acceptance/Certificates On request we can supply our pipe support products to DIN EN 10204 with - acceptance test certificates 3.1 - certificate of compliance 2.2/2.1 We can arrange for acceptance tests (NDT, ect.) to be carried out by the TüV or other inspectorate on our premises if required.
