USE

We use the present simple to refer to actions that happen on a daily basis.

We go to school from Monday to Friday

They don’t like Maths.

Do you live near? Yes, I do.

FORMATION

AFFIRMATIVE

Subject + verb (He, she, it + verb -s)

We speak English.They play tennis at the club every Saturday.Ben gets up late.My parents live in a big house.

Exceptions

If the subject is: he, she , it; then, I add <-s> to the verb.I read a book ---- He reads a book.

If the verb ends with (- ss, - sh, -ch, -x, -o), then I add <-es>.I go to school --- He goes to school.She teaches German.

If the verb ends with (-y) preceded by vowel, then I add <-s>.I play = He plays

If the verb ends with (-y) preceded by consonant, then I drop the (-y) and I add <-ies>.I fly = It flies.

Do not = I, you, we, they.

Does not = He, she, it.Cats don’t like water.
