• The "internet" is all the computers in the world that are connected, including the technologies (routers, servers, which are also computers actually) as well as the wires and antennas that keep all the computers talking to each other.

• “Internet" is not just your web email. It is everything that goes over those wires from one computer to another: the email itself, web sites, messenger (such as Yahoo Messenger or MSN Messenger), phone calls on Skype, messages from an ATM to a bank.

• The internet has become a part of our everyday life because of its ease to use, diversity and speed. The internet is easy to use. All people can use the multi search engines easily.

• The internet is a database full of information and offers us a lot of services, sometimes for free. This makes our life easier. The internet facilitates to exchange commodities.

• To investigate the purposes of using the internet among staff

70 % respondents are using the internet from 4 to 6 hours daily. 27.5 % respondents using internet more than 6 hours daily. Only 1 respondent using internet less than 4 hours daily. Overall, the chart showed that most respondent using internet more than 4 hours daily.

60 % respondents are using the internet 5 to 6 times daily. Others respondent are using the internet below than 4 times daily. From the data above most Staff of CICT are using internet regularly and always connected to the internet for some reason. The data showed that staff of CICT addicted to the internet

• 13 male and 11 female respondents are using the internet to interact using online social network. 10 respondents using the internet to search for work related information.

• 6 respondents using the internet to keep updated with current news. More than half of the Staff of CICT using the internet to interact using online social network like facebook and twitter.

6. Benefits and problems of using the Internet

• All respondent agree that the internet are made their work easier.

• 28 respondent are addicted to the internet and 32 respondent agree that they are wasted a lot of time using the internet rather than do their work.

• 20 respondent agree that their work performance had declined and their eyesight has deteriorated due to spending too much time on the internet

CONCLUSIONBase on the findings of the study, the following conclutions have been made: • Majority of CICT Staff spend 5 to 6 times daily using the

internet. This shows that the Staff use the internet regularly perhaps for work purposes.

• Almost all Staff CICT using the internet to interact using online social network.

• All CICT Staff agree that internet made their work easier.

• Staff of CICT agree that spending too much time on the internet can make their eyesight has deteriorated and their work performance decreased.

The following are several recommendations based on the finding and conclusions of the study: • CICT Staff should not miss use the internet

during office hour because that can cause their work performance.

• Staff also must spend more time to their work rather than spend time on the internet.
