Subject: New Employees and Payroll Procedure
I would like you all to give a warm welcoming to our two new employees Bob and Jeff. They will be starting work on February 3rd. Bob is a new accountant and Jeff is our new sales clerk. They both will be working full time. Please give them a warm welcoming for they are being inducted into the Prestige family.
As for the new payroll procedure each employee will now be required to not only sign in and out each day but also keep track of a time sheet. On this time sheet you will put down the hours worked, when you took a break, and have another employee that you worked with that day sign. We have noticed some people not signing in and out everyday so this will help to make sure we pay you right for the hours you worked.

It is the third most populous anglophone country in North America, after the United States and Canada. It remains a Commonwealth realm.

Pros and cons of a la carte airfare pricingBy Susan StellinWhether you call the practice à la carte pricing or nickel-and-diming passengers, the fees most airlines now charge for everything from food and drinks to checked bags aren't going away. With far fewer people fl ying because of the economy -- especially business travelers -- many carriers are
counting on this revenue more than ever.
"The airlines are doing it because they can't raise fares," says Michael Boyd, president of aviation consulting fi rm Boyd Group International.
And the companies have found that add-ons can be
very profi table. In fact, à la carte pricing has be-come so successful that ana-lysts are predicting airlines may soon institute the even
more nitpicky menu-pricing structure that's been helping Air Canada sur-vive since 2004.
For all of its fl ights, Air Canada of-fers four fare options, each with a different set of extras, such as a free checked bag or an on-board food
voucher. Customers can then add or subtract other services -- forgo frequent-fl ier miles and save $3, for instance, or pay $30 to access the
airline's lounges.
For now, most carriers in the U.S. simply say they are sticking with the à la carte approach and considering tacking on more fees in the year to come.

March 9, 2009 Anna Person 5200 Roselawn Avenue Topeka, KS 67218 Dear Ms. Person: Your restaurant, Cowboy Kens, was one of the most interesting I have ever been in. There was however one problem with the service I had on the night of March 2, 2009. I was in your restaurant at roughly 7:30 p.m. After ordering my food I had to wait over an hour for my meal to come. Then when my food arrived, to my surprise, I found a hairball in my salad. I stormed out of your establishment in anger. I do have a solution to this problem. Have the health department come in and inspect your restaurant. There is no excuse for finding a hairball in my salad. I liked the atmosphere of your establishment. I was drawn in by your wonderful advertisements on the television. If only you could get your cooking quarters clean you would have the full thing. I hope we can resolve this quickly and without problems. Sincerely, Tj Blogumas 347 Main Street Topeka, KS 67209

Headsets to Answer Phones
Annual Report
Prepared by Tj Blogumas
Manager of communications
Report Distributed April 9, 2009
Prepared for
Prestige Worldwide
Blogumas 2
Summary
There is an immediate need for a switch from the old telephones we are currently using
right now to answer customers calls. The ones we have now are out-dated and noisy. I have
proposed a switch to new wireless headsets. They are more reliable, reduce noise for there are no
phones ringing aloud but in our employee’s ear, and make it simple to answer a call (simply by
touching a button instead of picking up a phone and holding it against your ear). The best
product to choose for the switch is Panasonic’s KX-TCA92 headset. It is currently the cheapest
and best quality product on the market at this time. By going this route we will take the right step
in the direction of making Prestige Worldwide the most modern and highest customer
satisfaction travel agency around!
Introduction
Here at Prestige Worldwide we are currently in a communication crisis. We are still
answering phones from the 1990’s. The phones we are currently using are called jWin JT-P590
Corded Phone. Currently with this phone employees have to wait for it to ring, pick up the
phone, and when complete with the call hang it back up. This poses a few problems. Accidently
an employee can drop or shuffle the phone while picking up or hanging up the phone causing
static and unwanted noise from the customer’s point of view. This drops customer satisfaction
and makes them not call back, in turn making us waste our resources in the telecommunication
sector.
Blogumas 3
Body
I propose to solve this issue is to switch from corded hand held phones to cordless
headsets. The switch will be relatively fast and simple. Switching will be relatively cheap also
for the price for headsets has gone dramatically in the past few years. The ideal headset to switch
too would be the Panasonic KX-TCA92 headset. It only cost $17.45 per headset. It has a speaker
which rest on your ear, instead of in it, so employees answering phones will not feel discomfort
all day. It has a Boom, Noise-cancelling microphone so the customer only hears our employees
voice. The description straight from the website is “Enjoy convenient hands-free conversations
with Panasonic's KX-TCA92 headset. It works with any telephone that has a standard 2.5mm
mini-jack and fits comfortably and securely over your head. In-line controls let you adjust the
volume, and feature a mute button as well. You can reverse the adjustable noise-canceling boom
microphone, so the headset covers the ear you prefer. When not in use, the headset conveniently
folds down for compact storage.”(pcconnection.com)
Another but more expensive route to go would be to use the Plantronics MX250 Mobile
Headset Series. There are two down sides to using this product. The first is that you have the
stick it in your ear like iPod headphones. This is a down side because as an employee working
eight hours all day answering phones you would discover a discomfort from having it in your ear
all day. Another downside is that is more expensive. The price for this one is $33.56 compared to
the $17.45 for Panasonic’s KX-TCA92 headset a $16.11 difference. Almost the price of a new
TCA92 headset. The description for the Plantronics MX250 Mobile Headset Series is
“Experience the hands-free convenience and freedom of the MX200 from Plantronics. You will
love this unique design that stays put and sounds great. Be heard clearly in windy environments
Blogumas 4
with WindSmart technology. Enjoy the lasting comfort and stability of the Flex Grip design
perfect for your busy life.”(pcrush.com)
Conclusion
To conclude in order to increase customer service there is a urgent need to switch from
old telephones to new headsets. The best headset to choose from would be Panasonic KX-
TCA92. It is cheap, reliable, and the best fit for our company needs. By choosing this product we
will increase customer satisfaction, accidental hang ups, increase answering time, and reduce
noise for there will be no phones ringing out loud. This would definitely be the next step for
making Prestige Worldwide the best travel agency around!
