History

The University "G. d'Annunzio" of Chieti-Pescara derives

its name from its most celebrated international literary

figure, Gabriele d'Annunzio.

It is a relatively young university (It was founded in 1960)

compared with other universities in Italy. However, the

fact that it is a young university, works to its advantage in

that its set-up, facilities, services and annexed research

centers were conceived in a contemporary context.

Location

The university is situated in the neighboring

cities of Chieti and Pescara (two locations)

The main campus, the Chieti Campus,

includes the Chancellor's Office and Central

Administration buildings

The Pescara Campus is located within the City

of Pescara, on its outskirts, only a couple

kilometers from the center. It is of particular

appeal to young adults because of its location

by the sea and the night life it offers.
