When I crept out of the tent, I was met by the hot flames of a scorching fire pit. Guess who was cooking breakfast next to it! It was the famous Mammalogist, Roy Chapman Andrews! He told me about when he became the “American Museum of Natural History” director in the 1930’s. He also said that he took a fleet of dodge cars out to Mongolia. On their expedition, they found dinosaur eggs! They were the first group to ever find dinosaur eggs in the world! He told me that he brought the dinosaur eggs back to the museum for everyone to see. He showed me some pictures of the dinosaur eggs, and they were pretty cool! He then, in 1908, joined “The Explorers Club” in New York . Then he later served as its president from 1931-1934. In 1935 he made a book named “The Business of Exploring”. Andrews then retired in 1942, and wrote a book about his life. He was a cool guy, and I really enjoyed him a lot!
