Important Information Regarding Sequoyah’s Field Day
Dates:
K/First Grade- Tuesday May 20th
2/3- Wednesday May 21st
4/5- Thursday May 22nd
Rain Date Friday May 23rd
Please send your child to school with a change of
clothes because there are water activities at field
day.
No sandals/flip-flops. Your child needs to wear
sneakers
Send your child to school with a water bottle and
apply sunscreen in the morning.

Sequoyah's First Annual Art Auction
~Featuring Sequoyah students' collaborated original artistic master piece~
For the first time ever, Sequoyah Elementary will be hosting a silent art
auction where you can bid on one very special piece which consist of
several students (from all grade levels) collective masterpiece!
There will be one artistic masterpiece which will be professionally matted
and framed to display the collaborating efforts of each student who
participated.
This silent auction will be taking place before and during intermission at
the Sequoyah 2014 Talent Show that will be taking place
on Friday, May 30, 2014
(the winner will be announced before second half begins - so please be
sure to arrive early to view the finished art piece & get your bid in)!
This auction is to benefit the school's Art Fever program and Art Department.
Please come & support these super talented Sequoyah students as well as
their unique expressions of being an artist!
Primera Subasta Anual de Arte de Sequoyah
~ Presentando la obra de arte maestro original en colaboración de los
estudiantes de Sequoyah ~
¡Por primera vez, la escuela Sequoyah llevará a cabo una subasta
silenciosa de arte, donde usted puede apostar en una obra muy especial,
que consiste en una pieza maestra colectiva de varios estudiantes (de
todos los grados)!
Habrá una pieza maestra que estará profesionalmente encuadrada para
mostrar los esfuerzos en colaboración de cada estudiante que participó.
Esta subasta silenciosa se llevará a cabo antes y durante la intermisión
del Show de Talento de Sequoyah 2014
el viernes 30 de mayo de 2014
(el ganador será anunciado antes que comience el segundo acto – іasí que por favor
asegúrese de llegar temprano para ver la pieza de arte y apostar!)
Esta subasta es a beneficio del programa de Fiebre del Arte y el
Departamento de Arte de la escuela.

5th Grade FAREWELL SLIDE SHOW
Hello 5th Grade Parents!
In a very short time our children will be saying goodbye to their days at SequoyahElementary School.
We are putting together the slide show for the 5th Grade Farewell and want to makesure that EVERY student is represented.
Please send in any photographs of your 5th grader (preferably digital via e-mail) fromany and all grades. They can be candids, school photos, etc.
If you have actual photographs and have the ability to scan them, pleasedo. Otherwise please send in a few photographs in an envelope with your name clearlymarked so that they can be scanned and returned to you.
Please send them in as soon as you can as the farewell is coming up in just a few shortweeks! DEADLINE TO SUBMIT PHOTOS IS MAY 28, 2014.

іHola Padres de 5to Grado!
En un muy corto tiempo nuestros niños se estarán despidiendo de sus días en la Sequoyah
Elementary School.
Estamos todos juntos preparando un show de fotos y queremos asegurarnos que TODOS los
estudiantes sean representados.
Por favor mande una fotografía de su niño/a (preferiblemente digital vía e-mail) de otros y todos los
grados. Pueden ser cándidas, retratos de la escuela, etc.
Si las tiene en papel y tiene la habilidad de escanearlas por favor hágalo. Si no por favor mande unas
pocas fotos en un sobre con su nombre claramente marcado para que sean escaneadas y devueltas a
usted.
¡Por favor mándelas lo antes posible ya que la despedida es en unas pocas cortas semanas!

Proposed Changes to PTA By-Laws:
Amend Article VII, section 5 to say “This localPTA/PTSA shall use double entry record keeping for allfinancial transactions.”
Amend Article XI, section 4 to say 10 (ten) members toconstitute quorum
We are accepting other proposed changesthrough June 6th
