    Temperature Control System andRetention Time Barrel

    A closed, insulated and heated mixing chamber (TCS) in which a mixture is heated with drysteam by a shaft rotating in two directions. Two PT 100 temperature sensors register thepreset temperature after which a rotating disc is opened. The mixture is discharged into the

    Retention Time Barrel (RTB) where it remains during a preset length of time (2-4 min.).By means of an equalizing device the mixture is continuously fed into the pellet mill.

    BOA Compactor

    A double-walled mixing chamber in whichsteam and liquids are introduced and themixture is compacted using an hydraulically

    operated compacting chamber.Generously sized paddles, adjustable in bothheight and pitch, guarantee a homogeneousmixture and an hygienic process.

    The mixture is introduced into thecompacting chamber where a rotating three-roller head presses this through two conicalfriction rings.

    Three hydraulic cylinders accurately assessthe adjustable distance (3 45 mm) betweenthe friction rings which, along with a motor

    power of 250 kW, determine the compactionlevel.The unique combination of mixingchamber and compacting chamberensures an optimum absorption of steamand liquids, a more homogeneousdistribution of the raw materials, a higherpelleting capacity and excellent pelletquality.

    Progress Pellet Mill

    PTNs pellet mill, a highly stable, robust andsophisticated pellet mill. More than 35 years ofexperience in development, engineering andproduction ensures quality and continuity.The partially patented innovations offer a uniqueprice/performance ratio.

    A sophisticated technological concept ensures aneven distribution of the enormous mechanicalforces on the heavy bearings of the solid mainshaft and intermediate shafts.The stepped transmission via V-belts and timingbelts permits the application of higher motorpowers.Combined with the rened transmission, therobust frame guarantees a stable and vibration-free pellet mill during production.

    Counterow Cooler

    PTNs circular counterow cooler, with itsunique triangular, perforated bottom, ensuresa large air-ow area and almost residue-freedischarge.

    PTNs secondary cooling hopper improvesproduction efciency, with a time saving of3-6 minutes at product change.

    CrumblerPTNs crumble technologyis based on two large,independently drivenrollers that ensure anoptimum result. Minimum

    nes with maximumcrumble.

    An integrated control valve ensures aneven ow to an axially rifed proportioningroller, manufactured from solid steel.

    Large-scale axially and radially rifedcrumble rollers rotate slowly, at differentspeeds in opposite directions, and cut thepellet to a crumble.

    A specially developed and patentedvertical shaft construction, with twoseparate drives, combines eccentricand centrifugal movements for anoptimum sifting result.
