R&D PROCESS

Our company has filed a patent application regarding a novel 2RD sealing method in metal sealing a butterfly valve in the name of three inventors including Research Professor with a technical assistance by INJE university Engineering Department in Korea.

What’s 2RD?

2RD Sealing method is the best sealing method devised on excellent geometric analysis, which may solve the problem of difficulties in manufacturing. e.g.. grinding machinery. Arisen in triple eccentric structure due to the incompletion of geometric analysis. 2RD sealing method enables the manufacturing of valves on a common lathe by adopting a principle of fluid dynamic as well as realizing frictionless sealing with only using a double eccentric type valve, which makes it possible to produce the worlds high quality products in a large scale while providing in a lower price compared with that of other company.

Research on Progress

Purpose : Seat for cryogenic service

1) 1st design concept : To develop seat design by minimizing thermal shrinkage at -196℃

1-1) Elgiloy, which shows outstanding thermal stability, backup coil was adopted for seat design

100A(4”) item passed DNV type approval survey.

Problem : Procurement of Elgiloy coil (100% imported items and more than 3 month delivery)

Improvement plan : Resume test with material not only show less thermal expansion but also easy to purchase

2) 2nd design concept : Adopting triple offset design with material shows outstanding mechanical property

3) 3rd design concept : Develop bi-directional cryogenic butterfly valve which confirms above two condition
