Location Price Space

To me, the most important factors when choosing an apartment are location, space and pricing. Like an average consumer, I will not pay for an apartment is not conveniently suited for my occupation and lifestyle. The value of the square foot to dollar ratio must be market value.

With the price and the mileage as not much of a factor, I decided to go with the Honda Civic. Just because I have experience with a Honda Accord and it was an enjoyable experience. My parents used to have a Nissan, and they told me it wasnt the greatest.

I found the costs of everything on the internet.

The Real World that every adult has spoken about finally approaches as my peers and I finally prepare to exit high school and eventually exit four-year universities. But what even is the Real World in genuine context? Perhaps it is the interactions that we will come to make, the inability to rely on others, or even the power of free will that we find thrust upon ourselves as we leave our families behind. However, upon analysis, it becomes evident that every possible definition of Real World links back to the concept of economics as the study of simple monetary related decisions. The income we will make, the loans we will have to pay, the taxes we find deducted from our paychecks and the leisurely spending we indulge in all must be accounted for. Opportunity costs must be considered because our time and our resources are all have limitations. The Real World is economics. Scarcity is the underlying factor behind all decisions that one will eventually come to make and is the concept that all resources are limited. It is the fundamental economic problem that humans have in expecting unlimited natural and manufactured resources and forces us in the direction of practicality when we make decisions. When coming to reality, we find that everything is scarceno resources are unlimited, which requires us to optimize our decisions, most importantly, the timely and monetary ones. The entire Real World Economics project revolved around the concept of scarcity and forcing me to evaluate the resources that I had and what I was capable of doing with those resources. Whether it was how much I could spend a month, which cars I could afford, or the number of affordable apartments for rent in my area, everything still followed the concept of scarcity. I was forced to calculate the tax deductions on my paycheck before deciding if I wanted to spend more money on clothing and entertainment or on food. The things I wanted to buy were scarce. My supply of money was scarce. Scarcity forced me to make decisions between things that my parents would normally pay for.Opportunity costs, the best alternative that we give up when a decision is made, factor into the decisions we must make economically in the real world as well. Opportunity costs are known as the true prices of our decisions. They influenced every one of my decisions, but more specifically the decisions that required the pro/con chart between two options. Although having an entire apartment to myself would be nicer and more peaceful, the benefits of splitting the costs of an apartment with one other person outweighed the costs, and thus I would have chosen to have a roommate living with me. The opportunity cost here was living in the apartment alone. The same concept applied to the cars, and the opportunity cost was me giving up the Nissan to purchase the Honda. Opportunity costs force us to consider the pros and cons of every decision and help guide our decisions towards practicality. Scarcity and Opportunity costs are the underlying forces that shape every decision we make. They force us to make better decisions for ourselves and to optimize the resources that we have. Like every child born in the world, we all must eventually leave home some day and learn how to make monetary decisions on our own. Through application of the concepts of scarcity and opportunity costs, we find clarity and maturity, and we attain true independence. Through scarcity and opportunity costs, I was able to make informed decisions and better understand the true meaning of the real world. (604)
