TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN Dear Sir/madam

I would like to recommend RANGANATH NAGARAJU by means of this letter to give him the opportunity for the admission to the PhD Program “Biotechnology, Chemistry and Environmental Engineering” at the Faculty of Engineering and Science, Department of Chemistry and Bioscience at Aalborg University (Denmark).

RANGANATH NAGARAJU is a student of the Master in Materials Engineering and

Nanotechnology at the Politecnico of Milan (Italy). I knew him during the course Corrosion Engineering (March-July 2014) that I held in

the Master of Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology. Topics of the course were: mechanism of corrosion, thermodynamic and kinetics aspects, corrosion in natural environment (soil, atmosphere, water and seawater), cathodic protection, corrosion in oil and gas industry (CO2 corrosion, H2S corrosion, erosion corrosion), material selection, risk based inspection. I would like to acknowledge that he was a very good student, interested in all the topics of the course, continuously interacting with myself during the lectures, easily integrated in the students group. During the course, he cooperated with other students, showing a good capability to work in a team.

His speaking, reading and comprehension of English was excellent. I am confident that RANGANATH NAGARAJU is capable of accomplishing more

than what is reflected from his curriculum. I therefore strongly recommend him by means of this letter to give him the opportunity for the admission PhD Program Aalborg University.

Given an opportunity for such program, RANGANATH NAGARAJU will prove

himself worthy of it. I wish him good luck for his advanced studies and I am open to any further queries regarding him.

Sincerely,

Marco Ormellese (Professor of Corrosion Engineering)
