Distributed Wi-Fi Performance Assessment using Raspberry Pi Jan 2014-Aug 2014

Published a paper on this project in Asian Internet Engineering Conference 2014

Designed and implemented a low-cost, distributed assessment of Wi-Fi network performance

using Raspberry Pis.

Raspberry Pi network monitors Wi-Fi and send data like signal strength, packet loss etc. to

server. Server then generates the Heat Map of the area and also displays user-friendly charts

for easy assessment.

EXPERIENCE AND PROJECTS

Nginx Webserver module for Aerospike Database May 2014-July 2014

Worked on developing a Nginx module for Aerospike, in-memory NoSQL database

Database operations like connect, get, put, delete are supported in the module.

Worked mostly on Aerospike C-client APIs and Nginx Webserver.

Intelligent Download Server Sep 2013-Nov 2013

Intelligently schedules the download request based on network parameters like bandwidth

and latency.

Chrome extension was built to allow users to submit requests to the server, public-private

files, email notification upon completion, user download limit etc. were implemented.

Server determines whether bandwidth is above a threshold and then schedules the download.

HTML5 app to find the shortest distance in graph Feb 2013-Mar 2013

Chrome app that allow users to draw graphs and finds the shortest distance between any two

user’s selected points. Server scripting using JSP was used to determine the shortest path.

Saving and loading of graphs, moving vertices were among some of the features.

MINI PROJECTS

Linux Shell Implementation Aug 2013-Oct 2013

Developed a POSIX complaint Linux shell in C.

Designed and Developed an E-library System Feb 2014-Mar2014

Design and developed an e-library system that meets real-world requirements of the

library as closely as possible. Users can maintain reading list and can follow others.

It supports social features, such as on websites like GoodReads etc.

Persuading visual attention through low-level image features May 2013-July2013

This project was done during my 2nd

year internship at IDRBT, Hyderabad

Salient (regions that draw viewers’ attention quickly) part in the image is determined using

degree centrality measure.

User defined region is tried to be made salient. Matlab implementation was done.

Android App to convert image to gray scale using Web services Mar 2013-April 2013

App allows user to select an image either from gallery or from camera which is then

converted into a grey scale image via a server and displayed to user. .
