T he staff at TMR is working hard to clean up after a couple of weekends of bad ass shows. Big Chief L.C.and Gino are dedicated to bringing their vision to complete fruition.

Development continues to flourish with all the pieces coming together. The foundation to the Studio

and Rehearsal Rooms is set. The Skate Park, Disc Golf and RV Park are developing nicely and our Garden is ready for the com-ing planting season. Our three stages and two big movie screens are ready to come alive with our upcoming shows. As always, volunteers are welcome to come make their mark on our beautiful land. Our facility is for all musi-

cians, artists and promoters wanting to throw some epic shows. We have camping for volunteers, artists and event goers. Our 80 acre venue can accommodate any size show and any type of music, from hard core Metal and EDM to Funk, Punk and Country.

TMR is proud to have an in house multi-platinum producing artist on our team. Russell Lee will be producing hits with our new studio and label, Vendetta Records with Scott V. And G. Cavazos.

Drummie Zeb, Richie Lane, Ishmial Bouzidoune and Madonna Nash with Rasta Country will be some of the first artists to collaborate with Vendetta Records. We are also excited to work with The Shaun Peace Band and pro guitarist Michael Gayles.

tary headed by Gary Macgyver, “Let The Music Flow and Never Let It Stop...” about Gino’s vision of The Music Ranch. We are honored to document our emerging venue and brotherhood of artists, promoters and fans.

We were so happy to see our friends with The Shaun Peace Band for the third time at our Summer Breeze 2 Show on July 19th when we welcomed local artists to invade the TMR stage. Thank you, Sam and the Robopimps, for creating the Summer Breeze series at TMR.

Thank you to all the people who came out to support The Music Ranch during Native Austin 2014. We also want to thank COUNCIL, the Gathering of the Tribes on July 25th -27th for a beautiful weekend.Chief L.C.

J How did you find The Music Ranch and what’s your impression?We found out about The Music Ranch from an Indie Music site which lists venues by city and state. It's called , "Indie on the Move." Our first impression of the Music Ranch was outstanding. The people are extremely friendly, and the sound and stage are set up very nicely. The Ranch has a tremendous amount of space at its disposal which makes it not only a popular venue for regular shows but also for large events, festivals and showcases. We have played at The Music Ranch several times and have always had a great time and experience. The bands, crowd and staff are extremely diverse which creates a very pleasant environment. I can honestly say that TMR is a one of a kind music venue in today's music world. In 2013 the Shaun Peace Band played over 250 shows across the USA and we have yet to see another venue that offers the space, camping options, friendly people and of course great music.

J Tell us about your band mates?The Shaun Peace Band is an Indie Rock band that emerged in early 2013. Shaun Peace is a 30 yr old musician who has been writing and performing since he was 12. Pres-ently, he has Performed in over 35 states across the USA. He has a wide range of music that appeals to many different music listeners. In 2012 Shaun caught the eye of ACDC front man, Brian Johnson, who has proved to be a valuable mentor to the band. His advice and connections opened doors to do a 10 month cross country USA Tour in 2013 which was a tremendous success. Following the tour Shaun made some valuable band additions by picking up Lead Guitarist Mike Gales who played with George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic for many years. The Band also added Drummie Zeb, whose resume includes a 15 year run with the legendary reggae group , "The Wailers." Zeb fol-

lowed up his success with the Wailers by joining country Mega-star Kenny Chesney for several years. The final addition to the band was International bassist Ishmail Bouzidoune who's Moroccan upbring-ing and worldly sounds proved to be a fantastic addition. The Shaun Peace Band is made up of musicians from all over the world which creates a well balanced and fresh sound.

J What is your touring looking like this summer?In February 2014 the Band set out on a

3 month Tour which included over 47 shows in 90 days. They will be on the road from July - No-vember and will be releasing their debut album this December. solo and being so in sync with your band mates that you can just FEEL the music running through your veins is a feeling that’s hard to beat. To answer ‘who’ is a much harder question to answer. Of course we are all inspired by the music we grew up with and continue to grow with as we grow older and the music of the musicians we meet along the way. But, it’s not only that. It is also the people who come out to our shows. It’s the people who shed tears for a heartbreak you yourself were crying over while writing it into a song. The people who listen and hang on to every word that leaves your mouth and your instrument. To be inspired by others is to inspire others yourself.

ROCKSTAR: What’s the worst obstacle you’ve had to overcome here in Austin as a musician, and what advice can you pass along to a new band or artist in your same shoes? Tessy Lou Williams: I can’t think of one particular obstacle we’ve had to overcome per se, but the music business is hard...all the way through. The truth is, you can’t go into it half-heartedly. You have to be willing to eat nothing but Ramen at home and the bar cheeseburger that replaces pay of cold hard cash. It is tedious and strenuous, and the hours you live are completely opposite of the normal world. People will be critical, and you will, at times, feel like you are going nowhere and wasting your life, walking up the wrong side of an escalator. But then, when these moments hit you, there is always something that com-pletely turns your mindset around. Whether it’s a single fan who loves you’re music more than any they’ve ever heard, or a venue where you just feel like you’re home, or you finally get a break with a great paying show, playing a festival with the famous people you look up to, or an all expense paid trip to sing the American national anthem in France (yes that happened). Whatever that silver lining is, it will always appear if you contin-ue to persevere and never give in to the pressure and stress. It’s a beautiful life where you get to experience so many amazing things, and, if you take care of yourself and your instrument, you can go forever. I could never dream of dong anything else with my life. I’ve been broke, broke down. I’ve fallen and risen in the same day. My band and I get sick of each other, but hell, what family doesn’t? Ha-ha!!! This world is not for the weak at heart, but what world is?
