    Farmakas village is one of the most idyllic highland villages of Nicosia. It is located 40 kilometers southwest of the capital. The church of the village is dedicated to Saint Irene. South of the village, in a fully embroidered green surrounding, visitors will encounter the famous water source of Farmakas. The main item of production, famous all over Cyprus is the tomato of the Farmakas with the very distinctive and sweet flavor.Recently, the community has held a number of development projects, which led to a rapid growth. The endless green valleys, the fragrances and the cheerful colors of nature make the village ideal for any traveler. The Community Council president is Kyriacos Constantinou.

    Mr Daniel Anastasis has now returned from abroad and he has been elected president of the emigrants of

    Farmakas and also president of Farmakas church. Mr Anastasis is a modest, active man striving for the good of the village and its inhabitants. He is a permanent resident of the area where he cultivated his own vineyard, fruit trees, restored the water factory filling all the European standards, and creates his own wine while strengthening the villages economy. His wine is bottled with the name SANTA IRENE.In addition Mr. Daniel, is creating an agro-tourism unit, which will be ready in the summer of 2014, a one of a kind work that is being prepared to offer the most pleasant stay to its guests. The accommodation will be bed & breakfast while guests will have the opportunity to indulge in various recreational activities.

    Ms Eleni from Farmakas has created her own sweets factory maintaining the villages tradition. Besides sweets, she also produces delicious jams from genuine Cypriot fruits and tasty sousouko. Recently she started making sundried tomatoes, tomato sauce and tomato paste that will surely add delicious taste and unique aroma to your dishes.

    Travel to a fantastic world of fla-vors, in an idyllic setting. At Phar-makas Cafeteria you can enjoy fragrant coffees, fresh snacks and a fine selection of food while your children play at the safe play-ground. You can choose from a range of traditional recipes such as stew, spaghetti, souvla, tasty com-binations of international, Mediter-ranean and Italian cuisine and a wide range of drinks.At Pharmakas cafeteria you can organize birthday parties, christen-ings and other events.     Daphne Creamery Ms Daphne refuge from Metoxi that currently lives in Anagia, occupies in the sector of Cheese making since 1972. As time went by, Ms Daphne created her own factory that now is fully equipped with the latest technologies in cheese making in order not only to provide the best quality but also to gain the consumers trust and preference.

    The beautiful village of Anagia is situated in a plain area 15 kilometers on the south of Nicosia. Walking along in Anayia, travelers can revere the two churches that are dedicated to the Saints Nomonas and Vichianos. Parts of the remains of the two saints are kept in both churches. It must also be noted that the saints are directly related to cures connected with the respiratory system and the flu. Moving on, one can admire the old primary school along with the community park Andreas Christou. Finally marching towards the center of the old village, the old narrow streets with the brick houses monopolize the interest of each and every romantic traveler.
