VOTIVE MASS AND NOVENA TO ST. JOSEPH
Every Wednesday we have the opportunity to pray to God through the intercession of St Joseph for our own intentions. St. Joseph is a powerful intercessor and we can bring our needs and petitions to him. Please join us on May 8th at 7:00pm. in our weekly
Novena and Devotion to our Patron. You may want to state your intentions on the petition slips avail-able in the Our Lady of Czestochowa Chaplet to be read during the devotion. This week St. Anne Society will carry our patron’s statue into the sanctuary. We appreciate your offerings.
Before the moment of reconciliation, there is an uncomfortable moment of awkwardness and fear. We feel the full impact of our mistake, our sin or our social gaffe. In our uncertainty of forgiveness, we can be anxious and insecure. What a relief to hear the words of forgiveness, to experience the restoration of friendship, or to feel the embrace of a loved one! Peter denied Jesus—after bragging that he would die for the Lord! Jesus knew. Peter knew that Jesus knew. Yet in the question, “Do you love me?”, the breach is mended, and the relationship renewed. Jesus reaches out to Peter to affirm his love. Remember, it was the Disciple who Jesus loved that first believed at the tomb and then was first to recognize Jesus on the shore. Love forgives, restores, saves, and redeems. Peter’s weakness is overcome by the
power of God’s love. It is easy to judge ourselves as unworthy of love, or to be stubborn and not seek forgiveness from God or from others. We prefer to wallow in self-righteousness rather than face the moment of truth when we have to acknowledge our sin and our weakness. Don’t be foolish! Allow for the possibility of reconciliation, the power of grace and the strength of love. Make peace with God and with others. The only thing you lose is your guilt!
Stewardship Note: All of us are challenged to show our love for Jesus and others. Discern how God is calling you to use your time in prayer, your talent in charitable works and your treasure to assist those who in need. Remember that giving is an act of worship and helps advance the mission of our parish and greater Church.
Third Sunday of Easter May 5th, 2019
“Peter was distressed that Jesus had said to him a third time, ‘Do you love me?’ and he said to him, ‘Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Feed my sheep.’” John 21:17

TRZECIA NIEDZIELA WIELKANOCNA - 5 maja 2019
„Zasmucił się Piotr, że mu po raz trzeci powiedział: «Czy kochasz Mnie?» I rzekł do Niego: «Panie, Ty wszystko wiesz, Ty wiesz, że Cię kocham». Rzekł do niego Jezus: «Paś owce moje!” (J 21, 17)
Umiłowany uczeń widzi sercem i w jednej chwili rozpoznaje Pana; wrażliwy przyjaciel. Piotr, jak to i wcześniej bywało, choć jeszcze nie widzi, to jednak na słowo Jana spieszy ku
Jezusowi; żarliwy i porywczy. Jeden uczeń potrzebny drugiemu. Dla gminy chrześcijańskiej założonej później przez św. Jana Apostoła on właśnie będzie wzorem ucznia Jezusa.
W tym roku po raz pierwszy do Komunii Świętej przystąpią: Kinsley Benes, Nicholas Cryan, Sofia Dziubasik, Lena Gago, Tucker Harrity, Damian Jagiello, Lisa Kippax, Simon Kowalczyk, Braylyn McCarthy, Jake Martin, Ruth A n n S e t o n P a k a l u k , J a c o b Parafinowicz, Zofia Pawlikowska,
Gianna Pigeon, Antoni Powaza, Ayla Reed, Alan Rubin, Gabriel Rudnicki, Ethan Ryan, Maria Sendrowski, Adylin Stewart, Luke Surowaniec, Brayden Trybulski, Adam Wozniak, Lillyanne Zawistowska.
Dziś jeden z najpiękniejszych dni w Waszym życiu - Wasze pierwsze, tak bliskie spotkanie z Panem Jezusem. Życzymy Wam z tej okazji
obfitych Łask Bożych na całe życie. Niech ten dzień zapadnie głęboko w pamięci i w Waszych sercach. Szczęść Wam Boże!
