2. Job Purpose

To plan and prepare tender documents for civil engineering and building projects.

To supervise and administer the execution of projects.

To liaise with governmental authorities, services providers and stakeholders.

3. Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in planning of projects and carry out pre-feasibility studies.

Review submissions from contractors, consultants and stakeholders.

Coordination with outside parties and internal departments on projects.

The project is located in the Governorate of Duqm of Al

Wusta Region and consists of the construction of dual

carriageway with 4 lanes adjacent to the existing town

centre. It a so involves construction of service roads, 12

roundabouts, 4 traffic light controlled intersections,

numerous box and pipe culverts, street lighting system,

parking areas, landscaping and irrigation system, sidewalks,

roadside furniture, relocation of affect services and utilities,

removal of existing structures etc.

Construction Of Fishery Port

(Port And Road Related

Works) At Duqm

The Fishery Port all facilities required to accommodate

small and medium size fishing boats and considerd to be

the largest fishery port in Sultanate of Oman.

•Retail, wholesale and export markets.

•Setting aside enough land area to house fish processing,

canning, fish oil and animal feed industries.

•Fish & shrimp farming.

•A training centre and extension services.

•A marine research centre.

•An international standards quality assurance centre for

fresh and processed fish exports.

Access Roads to ROP

Complex at Duqm

The access roads shall be paved single carriageway road to

be designed and constructed by the Contractor. It shall be

directly from the Airport Road No. 2 to the boundary wall

of the ROP Complex, including transitions from Airport

Road No. 2, and interfacing with ROP Complex internal

road system.

The existing surface topography of both grading sites is

undulating with isolated limestone outcrops and intervening

with wadis in between. It is the objective of this Project to

grade the two (2) sites to a final surface of subgrade

formation.
