Champaign-Urbana has become our home away from home; we owe it to the community to give back.

Champaign-Urbana has graciously provided us a home away from home. Now is our time to return the favor by giving back our time, assistance, and support to the C-U community.
Our creative concept is called the “Cycle of Giving”. The cycle represents the mutualistic relationship between student and community. We work together, each benefitting from the relationship. Through a visual symbol and quotes from UIUC students, our concept will be brought to life.

Appendix: How to Create Guerilla Marketing on the Quad1. Speak to the Habitat for Humanity UIUC Chapter President. They will be your main point of contact
between you and the RSO Office, which rents out space in front of the Union.
2. Have the President submit a Space Request Form (found online and in the RSO Office), identifying what the RSO would like to do - in your case this would be an information table with free beverage distribution. On the Space Request Form indicate “QUAD” as the Space Desired. Even though the request is not literally for the Quad, this is a simple and consistent indicator of the general area that RSO can use. Have the President fill out the dates we specified in our media plan in the Space Request Form
3. The RSO Office will review the space request and assign dates as available for the specific event
4. Have the Habitat for Humanity RSO hand out flyers (design provided to you) to fraternities and sororities exactly a week before the first day of the event
5. On every day of the event, the Habitat for Humanity RSO will set up a table (which will be provided by the RSO Office) on the part of the Quad assigned to them, along with the cardboard cutouts and the hot chocolate and coffee in the hot beverage containers.
6. 2 hours will be spent on the Quad each day - 10am - 12pm
7. H4H RSO volunteers will explain to passerbys the benefits of volunteering/shopping/donating at the ReStore, and urge them to sign up online. NO sign-up sheet. The focus is on brand awareness for the ReStore, not for annoying any passerbys. Let them take hot chocolate and coffee and just explain what the ReStore is
