The Willamette Meteorite, officially named Willamette,[3][4] is an ironnickel meteorite discovered in the U.S. state of Oregon. It is the largest meteorite found in the United States and the sixth largest in the world.[5] No impact crater was preserved at the discovery site; it is possible that the meteorite landed in what is now Canada and was transported to the Willamette Valley during the Missoula Floods in ice as a glacial erratic.[6] It is currently on display at the American Museum of Natural History.
