Seahorse Tales Woolgoolga Public School
TERM 4 ISSUE 7 21st November 2013
LifeStraw Mufti Day
Thank you for the overwhelming generosity families of Woolgoolga Public School showed yesterday for our LifeStraw Mufti Day.
With the $800 raised, we will be able to purchase 27 LifeStraws for children in the Philippines. This will allow 27 children to drink clean water for 18 months. CleanWater Australia and New Zealand promise that for every retail purchase of any LifeStraw product they will donate 1000 litres of water for each LifeStraw sold.
That is 1 year of clean drinking water for a child. So we have now effectively helped 54 children get clean drinking water.
Well done everyone and thank you for your support.!

5/6P
This term in 5/6P we have taken a 'hands-on' approach to maths. This has meant we have
spent time out of the classroom while we learnt about things such as mass (weighing
things), volume (how much water different objects can hold) and measuring (how long
things are). It has been good to be outside while doing school work. Our favourite activity
was when we got to measure the Woolgoolga skate park.
