NTT Communications owns several high-quality optical submarine cables. This enables us to build fast, flexible networks and ensure redundancy. We also have a global infrastructure that can withstand disasters. This includes the Asia Submarine-cable Express (ASE) cable from Tokyo to Singapore that serves Asia, and the high-capacity PC-1 cable from Tokyo to Chicago that serves North America. These cables offer industry-leading low

latency between these key city pairs. In addition, we increased the capacity of the PC-1 cable in 2013 by approximately 2.5 times to 8.4 Tbps to address ongoing growth in international traffic. In 2016, we will also begin operating the Asia Pacific Gateway (APG) optical submarine cable that will feature Asia’s largest-class capacity. It will complement the ASE cable to offer Asia large capacity, low latency and network redundancy.

Smooth linkage through API GatewayImproved collaboration with customers and partners, and increased business productivity, through automation

D e l i v e r i ng Va luab l e Sy s tems to Eve r yo n eEnabling customers and partners to easily develop and utilize portal sites. Creating an

inter face that maximizes advanced ICT ser vices.

ICT OperationsAPI Gateway is a Web service interface that enables customers/partners to coordinate with various NTT Communications services (network/cloud/voice/apps). It provides APIs that help reduce ICT operating costs by serving as unified formats for contracts and applications that can easily be integrated or developed to become consistent with the on-premise systems and applications of customers/partners.

●Support for common usage of APIs

API specs are consistent across all services through use of global-standard REST formatting and OAuth certification, enabling customers to incorporate them into their systems.

●API logs provided for auditing needs

API logs record all API transactions for easy data monitoring, usage tracking, and corresponding to compliance audits.

●Easy and secure management of user authentication

In the API, it is easy to manage user access to business resources by creating and managing users and groups, and authenticating users.

API Gateway

Automatic connection with customer’s systems

NTT Communications Business Portal

ICT proactively supports new lifestyles and business opportunities. It also brings new complexity to operations at many corporations. NTT Communications Business Portal is a customer portal that allows ICT managers to view the operation of all subscribed services including network, cloud, security, voice and application. Since the portal allows centralized control, there is no need for companies to assign an ICT manager at each regional office.

Globally seamless ICT system management

Cloud resources can be added, deleted and changed on demand. This makes it much easier for businesses to expand, dramatically shortens lead time for implementing new services, and makes it easy to achieve cost reductions by optimizing systems.

The promotion of these initiatives enables us to address the need to achieve a low-carbon society, promote a recycling-based society and preserve biodiversity, as well as to help create a society that is friendly to the global environment, humans and other living things. We safeguard the environment in all our business

This service virtualizes office and desktop environments in the cloud using the NTT Communications platform and makes them accessible anytime and anywhere in the world. Since data is not stored in the client terminal, the service supports a mobile workforce and is gaining popularity in various industries as a BCP solution that assures solid security.

Enterprise DaaS Supports Work-at-Home and Other BCP Measures

This service supports corporate BCPs by gathering information to confirm the safety of employees in the event of an earthquake or other disaster. It enables employees to contact the company via various means of communication including mobile phones, smartphones, PCs and fixed-line phones.

Biz Safety Confirmation/Group Notification System to Accurately Determine Employee Status

A virtual network can connect all of our data centers around the world, enabling true decentralization of critical customer data. In combination with cloud service, this decentralization solidly supports corporate BCP in the event of a disaster.

Decentralization of Data via Data Centers and Cloud

We support the Business Continuity Plans (BCP) of clients to ensure that business operations remain up and running following major disasters (earthquakes, pandemics, etc.). This includes support for the protection and recovery of critical systems, data storage and networks.

Business Continuity Plan support
