Recently, we have also decided to present "Yuva Shanthi Dootha
Awards" to the U.G and P.G students to motivate them to serve the society with a positive attitude.
Since then, the organization has been working for the promotion of Pease,
Harmony in the society bringing together people of different faiths and traditions
by celebrating Pease festival every year in the month of February. The
organization so far has presented Shanthi Dootha Awards to the eminent citizens
like Dr.Chukka Ramaiah, Dr.Pothuri Venkateshwar Rao, (Former Press Council
Chairman, A.P), Dr.Vara Prasad Reddy (Shantha Bio Tech, Hyderabad) Kala
Tapasvi Dr.K.Vishwanath (Well known Cinema Director) Prof.M.Kodandaram
(T-JAC) Prof. Purushotham Reddy (Noted Environmentalist, Hyderabad) and
several others for their yeoman services in their respective fields which contributed for the well being of the society.
This is to submit that, World Pease Festival Society (International) was
established in 1997 in Warangal with the kind blessings of Padmavibhushan
Kaloji Narayana Rao and other eminent personalities like Dr.K.Jayashankar,
Prof.S.Laxmana Murthy, agilla Rama Shastri and several scholars, poets, intellectuals of our region.
