district guidelines
Rather than specifying unique measurements and architectural styles for each district, measurements and architectural styles have been provided on a per-use basis, including apartments, townhomes, single-family housing, education, industrial, retail, park, and mixed-uses. New and old construction in each district should follow the measurements and architectural styles suggested in the character prototypes provided in the sections and elevations. Further, new construction should utilize brick patterns specifi ed on a per- district basis provided in the elevations. Measurements in the right-of-way have been maintained along the three-mile stretch of the Shelby St. corridor to create a feeling of unity.
