helicopter in Bratislava He was improving his invention for

years till first real flight of his invention in 1901

Many other inventors used his concept and created their own

inventors of helicopter

He was born on 28th November,

1870 in Neštich and died on 2nd of January, 1941 in Neštich

1907 - he moved to USA 1913 - he designed and constructed

the first parachute on the principle of umbrella

1914 – he jumped from the

15-floors high building in Washington and showed ´ representatives of the Patent Office, that his parachute is working.

His parachutes were used by American pilots in first World War.

in Tajov and died on 11th May , 1929 in USA

1896 – he moved to USA 27th April 1905 – He made a first radio

transmission of the spoken word, so he actually invented a radio.

for his experiments with elecrticity - which is basically electric motor

He did not published his discoveryso he did not became famous

Physicist, mathematician and

inventor Jozef Maximilian Petzval is considered as the founder of modern optics. He was born in 1807 in Spišská Belá and died on 17th September, 1891 in Vienna

In 1840 he invented a photographic lens.

He also proposed the concept of

projectors, telescopes, and various improvements in labor microscope.

His main contribution to modern optics was mainly the calculation of the correction optical systems.
