Sending and receiving SMS from / to various applications

SAEAUT SMS Server is an application thatallows other client applications to send andreceive SMS messages.

SAEAUT SMS Server enables:

1. sending and receiving SMS messagesvia devices with a GSM modem

2. cooperation with other applications via

shared database file

It is an application with user interface forsetting communication parameters, phonenumbers, user groups, logging of activities.

Main features:

1. creation of event and user structure thatshould receive a SMS message

2. sending SMS message created by theclient application

3. sending SMS message based on eventgenerated by client application4. receiving SMS message and processing5. displaying reports about sent / received

SMS messages6. it uses PDU for message transfer to the

GSM modem7. it is tested with more a few types of GSM

modems and GSM services providers

It can be used:

1. with our example desktop client applicationfor easy sending SMS from your computeror another computer in LAN

2. with our example web client application forwriting SMS in web browser, sending itfrom your web server to the SMS recipient

3. with your client application whichcooperates with SAEAUT SMS server

4. with another our applicationOpcDbGateway for complex conditionbased messaging.

Sending SMS to defined group of recipients

Sending SMS to defined user group:

- user application adds a new record intodatabase for sending SMS in a predefined

format: group number; text- when SMS Server detects a new record in

the database, it retrieves users who belongto given user group

- a MS message is created based on theretrieved data and sent to each of theusers via connected GSM modem

Sending SMS to a specified phone number

Sending user-defined SMS message:

-user application adds a new record intodatabase for sending SMS. This recordhas to contain two inputs:1. recipients phone number (in separate

column)2. text of SMS message (in separate

column)

- when SMS Server detects a new record inthe database, it retrieves the phonenumber and the text of SMS message

- a SMS is created based on the retrieveddata and sent to the specified phonenumber via connected GSM modem

database of received SMS- when the client application detects a new

record in the database, it retrieves the data(phone number and the text of SMS) anddisplays them
