Scientific research activities of RC Department are on Communication networks, distributed computing and parallel computing
• The recent technological advances in the fields of communication networks (high bandwidth & low latency networks) and computer architectures (parallelism of multi-core processors and massive parallelism of computing accelerators) have led to the convergence of distributed computing and parallel computing
• New concepts have emerged like cloud computing, volunteer and Peer-to-Peer computingas well as new networks paradigms like Software Defined Networks (SDN)
• This phenomenon has fuelled many research activities with various applications in the aerospace domain that are presented in the sequel
