Sri Gopala Sahasranama Stotram Sri Narada Pancharatram

The following is a rare Sahasranama Stotram (1000 names) of Lord Balakrishna taken
from the Vaishnavite Agama text Narada Pancharatra, Fourth Ratra, and Chapter 8 titled
Gopala Sahasranama Stotram. This is given by Lord Shiva to Goddess Parvati at her request.
Lord Shiva extols the sanctity of the hymn as below:
Even Lord Shiva will not be able to spell out the immense benefit one accrues by
chanting or listening to this hymn. There is no hymn or mantra which is more
sacred than this. There is no greater Devata than Lord Balakrishna in all the four
epochs (Yugas) in the same ways there is no greater holy river than Ganga.
This destroys gory sins like killing of Brahmins. One who chants this on Saptami,
Ekadashi, Dwadashi, Pournami days and Sundays never gets rebirth.
This hymn should never be given to those who are devoid of Guru Bhakti, who
hate Dharma, Brahmins, Vaishnavites, Lord Shiva, imbue difference between
Radha and Durga. But this hymn should be given to who observes
Sandhyavandana, Gurus orders, Advaitins, and Lord Shivas devotees.
One who cast aspersions on a true Vaishnavite commits the sin of slaying a Guru.
There is none dearer to Lord Shiva than Vaishnavites. A true Vaishnavite who is
devoid of attachments makes all his ancestors pure and emancipated.
