There is a large percentage of space that is

enveloped by the skin of the B_mu Museum that

could be utilized for display/ storage as well

as within the skin itself. The logical kind of

artwork that could be housed in these space is

work already designed to withstand the elements.

Because there would be a concentration of

pollution in these space the patrons would be

required to wear gas masks or respirators

furthering the concept of the skin

exponentially. This concept places the patrons

in direct contact with the critical aspect of

the building in regards to it's context and thus

furthering the discourse of pollution and the

city of Bangkok.

Concept:

As with the B_mu Museum in the city of Bang

there is a large percentage of space that i

enveloped by the shell of "Cloud Gate." The

also an incredible structural system at wor

that allows for this 110 ton sculpture to s

By allowing this skin to be inhabitable pat

of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate enthusias

can appreciate the sculpture from many

perspectives, not just the exterior. By ent

below and then having the cut out past the

tangent of a ground level viewer, the main

concept of the sculpture remains intact of

blurring the boundary between the work and context. This is also emphasized with the v

up out of the cut out that only allows view

to see the sky. This goes along with Kipoor

notion of a multidimensional gate the work

explores. The amount of steel that is remov

will be offset by potential weight of occup

and additional circulation needed to occupy

interior safely.
