STATEMENT

Ziel unserer Marke MICHAELRAASCH© ist es, eine Kollektion im Premium Segment für Leuch-ten, Möbel- und Accessoires zu platzieren. Dazu stellen wir Bestehendes in Frage und entwerfen Objekte, die einfach anders sind.

Die Suche nach dem Essentiellen und einer über-raschend einfachen Lösung sind das, was uns bei der Gestaltung antreibt. Unsere Kollektion verfolgt einen über greifenden und gesamtheitlichen Gestaltungsansatz.

Die Produkte sind untereinander kombinierbar, sie ergänzen sich oder bilden Produktfamilien mit Bezügen zueinander. Das macht die Kollektion besonders stimmig, so wirkt alles wie aus einem Guss, wie eine Handschrift und lässt sich wun-derbar miteinander kombinieren.

The objective of the MICHAELRAASCH© brand is to place a collection in the premium segment for luminaires, furniture and accessories. This involves questioning what exists and designing objects that are simply different, and respond dif-ferently to customer needs and living situations.

What drives us on in the design is the search for the essential and a startlingly simple solution.

Our collection follows an overall and holistic design methodology.

The products can be combined with one another, they complement each other or form product families with references to each other. This gives the collection a particularly harmonious feel; it comes over as a unified whole with its own hand-writing and lends itself wonderfully to combining.

„Ich habe mir die Frage gestellt, wie man auf einfache Art mit wenigen Elementen eine Leuchte kreiert, die einerseits ein schönes Leselicht gibt und gleichzeitig eine angenehme Atmosphäre schafft. Dabei war es mir wie immer wichtig, dem Ganzen eine überraschende und einfache Funk-tion zu verleihen. Deshalb lässt sich die Neigung der Leuchte über den Fuß leicht und individuell verstellen.“

“I asked myself how you can create a luminaire simply and with just a few elements, moreover one that both delivers attractive reading light and simultaneously creates a pleasant atmosphere. An important consideration for me was to lend the whole thing a surprising and simple function. That is why the luminaire angle can be easily and individually adjusted.”

„Reduziert im Aufbau, ist Stick eine moderne Inter-pretation der klassischen Schirmleuchte. Sie eignet sich ideal zum Lesen und spendet gleichzeitig atmosphärisches Raumlicht. Einfach und schön auch die Funktion: Mit einem Handgriff kann der Neigungswinkel ganz nach Wunsch ausgerichtet werden. Ausgestattet ist Stick mit einer Halogen-Energiesparleuchte mit 105 W, die sich stufenlos dimmen lässt. Ihr Baumwollschirm ist in acht Farben erhältlich.“

Dies ermöglicht ein kleiner Magnet am Leuchten-schirm, der an jeder gewünschten Position des Leuchtenstativs befestigt werden kann.“

„Die Idee für den Entwurf war, passend zur Lese-leuchte Loft einen Beistelltisch zu kreieren, der nicht allein seine praktische Ablagefunktion erfüllt, sondern gleichzeitig formal und in atmosphärischer Wirkung die Linienführung der Leseleuchte Loft aufnimmt und widerspiegelt: leicht und elegant, reduziert und aus einem Guss.“

“The idea for the design was to create a small table that would harmonize with the Loft reading lamp, and into the bargain not only fulfils the practical function of proving a surface to place things on but simultaneously formally takes up and reflects the lines of the reading luminaire Loft and adds to the atmosphere: light and elegant, reduced and consistent.“

„Pipe findet ihren Ursprung in der Philosophie des Industriedesigners Achille Castiglioni. Eine Hängeleuchte, die es mir persönlich sehr ange-tan hat. Die Herausforderung bestand für mich darin, den Schirm mit der geraden Linie ver-schmelzen zu lassen. Ganz nach den Einflüssen von Castiglioni.“


“The origins of Pipe can be traced back to the philosophy of industrial designer Achille Castiglio-ni. A pendant lamp, which very much impressed me personally. For me the challenge was to allow the lampshade to meld with the straight line. Wholly In keeping with Castiglioni‘s influence.“

„Raffiniert in ihrer gestalterischen Umsetzung und minimal in der Formgebung gefällt Pipe zudem durch hochwertige Materialien und bedienerfreund-liche Funktionen. Pipe lässt sich in der Höhe nach Wunsch verstellen und spendet angenehmes Raum- und Leselicht. Die Helligkeit lässt sich über einen Fußdimmer stufenlos regeln.“

Pipe can be adjusted to the desired height and provides pleasant ambient and reading light. The brightness can be infinitely adjusted using a foot dimmer.“

FRAME

„Ein Schirm, der durch einen eleganten Rahmen gehalten wird: Damit folgt Frame dem Gedanken, eine ganz einfache Sideboard- und Tischleuchte zu gestalten, die aus Grundkörpern besteht und einen modularen Aufbau ermöglicht. Formal reduzierte und schön gestaltete Details mit ausgewogenen Proportionen waren mir bei diesem Entwurf sehr wichtig.“

“A lampshade that is held in place by an elegant frame: As such, Frame is in keeping with the idea of designing a simple sideboard and table lamp that consists of basic parts and enables a modular structure. With this lamp, formally reduced and ele-gantly designed details with balanced proportions were important to me.“

„Wie der Name schon verrät, ähnelt die Form des Beistelltischs einem Martini Glas. Funktional interessant ist vor allem die Kombination aus den beiden Ablageflächen, die sich durch diese Form ergeben, das hat mich an der Idee fasziniert.“


“As the name implies, the shape of the occasio-nal table resembles a Martini glass. Functionally, the combination of the two storage spaces, which emerge from the shape, is of particular interest. That is what fascinated me about the idea.“

MARTINI

„Formvollendeter kann ein Martini nicht dargereicht werden, ob nun gerührt oder geschüttelt. In An-lehnung an die charakteristische und geniale Form des Martini Glases habe ich einen Beistelltisch entworfen. Der Beistelltisch Martini bietet nicht nur Platz für den Drink, sondern durch seine spezielle Formgebung auch gleich zwei Ablageflächen für Zeitungen und Magazine. Rosso oder Bianco… Martini ist in verschiedenen Farben erhältlich.“

“A Martini cannot be served in a more perfect way, whether shaken or stirred. Taking the characte-ristic, ingenious shape of the Martini glass as his inspiration, I have designed an occasional table of the same name. Martini not only has room for a drink, but its special design also means it has no less than two storage spaces for newspapers and magazines. Rosso or bianco…Martini is available in various colors.“

„Mich inspirieren simple Dinge. Dies spiegelt sich auch in der Grundidee von Stripe wider. Stripe ist ein einfaches, aus Leuchten und Wandmodulen bestehendes modulares System. Alle Elemente sind so konzipiert, dass sie einander ergänzen und jede Kombination ermöglichen. Dabei können die Wand-streifen und Ablagen flexibel mit Lichtelementen kombiniert werden. Die Leuchtenschirme werden mit einem Magneten befestigt.“

“Simple things inspire me. This is reflected in the basic idea behind Stripe. Stripe is a simple modular system comprising lamps and wall modules. All the elements are conceived such that they complement one another and can be combined in any way, meaning that the wall stripes and storage spaces are flexible in the way they can be combined with light elements. The lampshades are attached with a magnet.“

„Das modulare Konzept von Stripe weckt die Freude am Kombinieren und eröffnet viele Einsatz-möglichkeiten. Das Prinzip ist einfach und intelli-gent. Stripe ist ein Baukasten aus unterschiedlichen Wandmodulen und Leuchtenelementen, die frei miteinander kombiniert werden können. Die Leuch-tenschirme mit Magnetbefestigung sind in der Nei-gung verstellbar. Das diffus zu den Seiten und frei nach oben und unten abstrahlende Licht lässt sich bequem über einen Handdimmer stufenlos regeln.“
