Led internal staff diversity efforts at the Kansas City Star and Omaha World-Herald, including Reality Checks content audit at the World-Herald and report to the executive editor after interviews with current and former staff members of color.

Diversity in hiring dates back to my college days when I hired TCUs first-ever woman sports editor. Whatever my role, staff diversity has increased during my tenure when I have been involved in recruiting and promotions.
